Job Summary:


We are seeking a dedicated and talented Chief Marketing & Commercial Officer to join our team. In this role, you will lead the next phase of integrated global growth and category leadership for R+Co by unifying marketing, brand development, creative, digital, product development, packaging, and e-commerce under a single enterprise-level commercial strategy. You will hold full ownership of the DTC P&L and be responsible for strengthening profitable demand generation, elevating brand distinction, and increasing innovation velocity across markets. This role requires pairing visionary brand thinking with disciplined commercial execution to ensure breakthrough campaigns and education-driven storytelling translate into measurable financial performance.


As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will collaborate with cross-functional leaders across marketing, brand development, creative, digital, product development, packaging, and e-commerce to integrate previously distributed functions into a cohesive commercial operating model. You will strengthen performance transparency and build scalable systems aligned with a multi-year value creation horizon, reporting directly to the Brand President.


REMOTE: This role is classified as exempt from the Fair Labor Standard Act’s overtime requirement, is remote, and open to candidates based in South Florida area. The position requires working in EST hours, so candidates located in the East are preferred. The work environment is primarily remote, requiring reliable internet access and a dedicated workspace free from significant distractions.


 

What You’ll Do:

 

Essential Job Functions


Global Brand & Category Leadership

  • Define and articulate a clear global brand strategy grounded in professional authority and cultural relevance
  • Drive differentiated, industry-shaping campaigns that elevate brand distinction 
  • Strengthen R+Co’s position within the professional community while expanding consumer resonance
  • Align storytelling, education, and commercial objectives across markets


Marketing and Merchandising

  • Establish strong 360 campaigns that cross all distribution channels
  • Drive brand awareness for the salon, stylist and the end consumer
  • Support sales efforts across the different channels to provide a unified voice and message
  • Leverage marketing to drive sales and ROI.


Innovation & Product Strategy

  • Establish a disciplined innovation roadmap and portfolio architecture
  • Elevate launch governance and cross-functional execution
  • Ensure packaging, design, and product positioning support both brand equity and commercial performance
  • Accelerate innovation cycles while maintaining quality and brand integrity


Digital & Direct-to-Consumer Leadership

  • Full ownership of DTC revenue and profitability
  • Lead performance marketing, CRM, retention, analytics, and e-commerce operations
  • Optimize customer acquisition efficiency and lifetime value
  • Strengthen marketplace strategy and digital channel integration
  • Build scalable digital infrastructure to support international growth
  • Ensure all digital platforms are representative of the brand (.com and .pro)


Commercial & Financial Discipline

  • Improve marketing efficiency and return on investment
  • Strengthen contribution margin and pricing alignment within DTC
  • Implement clear KPIs, dashboards, and performance accountability
  • Partner closely with Finance and Operations on forecasting and demand planning
  • Drive disciplined, data-informed decision-making across the organization

  • Demonstrated success owning and scaling a DTC P&L

  • Strong financial acumen with measurable improvement in margin and marketing efficiency

Team Leadership & Oversight


This role leads the global commercial organization including Brand Development, Creative & Design, Media & Production, Integrated Marketing, Digital Marketing & CRM, and E‑Commerce, overseeing a team of 30+ professionals globally. The Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer will assess and refine the structure as needed to ensure clarity of decision rights, accountability, scalability, and alignment with the company’s next phase of growth.

 

Physical Requirements 


This role requires the following physical capabilities:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, twist, and squat for event up
  • Prolonged periods standing, bending, stooping, and reaching 
  • Must be able to focus on detailed work for extended periods, which may lead to eye strain or fatigue.
  • Must be able to perform tasks that require fine motor skills, including typing and using a mouse.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, often time-sensitive environment.
