About the role

At Afterpay, lifecycle marketing drives how we engage customers across their journey from first interaction to long-term loyalty.

As a Lifecycle Marketing Associate, you’ll bring customer journeys to life through email, SMS, and other channels. You’ll manage operational workflows, ensure campaigns launch flawlessly, and work with customer data to deliver personalized experiences at scale.

You’ll report to the Global B2B Lifecycle Marketing Lead and collaborate with Product, Data, and Marketing teams, gaining exposure to high-impact projects and opportunities to grow into a senior lifecycle or CRM leadership role.

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Execute lifecycle campaigns. Build and launch automated campaigns that drive engagement, retention, and conversion.

  • Manage campaign workflows. Coordinate requests from intake to launch, maintaining timelines, documentation, and stakeholder communication.

  • Own campaign setup and logic. Configure triggers, segmentation, and messaging to ensure campaigns run efficiently and accurately at scale.

  • Run campaign QA. Conduct structured quality assurance to ensure every campaign delivers a seamless customer experience.

  • Develop CRM expertise. Become a subject matter expert in modern marketing automation platforms and propose innovative approaches to improve performance.

  • Troubleshoot campaign issues. Investigate delivery failures, workflow bugs, and performance gaps, implementing quick and durable fixes.

  • Support segmentation and personalization. Use customer events and attributes to target precise audiences and deliver tailored communications.

  • Monitor performance and deliverability. Track campaign metrics, identify optimization opportunities, and support A/B testing and experimentation.

  • Maintain documentation and processes. Keep workflows, QA frameworks, naming conventions, and trackers organized to ensure scalable operations.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Execution and results focus. You thrive in fast-moving environments and enjoy turning strategy into campaigns.

  • Lifecycle marketing experience. 2+ years in CRM, lifecycle, or email marketing, ideally in fintech, SaaS, or consumer tech.

  • Platform expertise. Experience with Marketo or similar tools, including multi-step journeys, dynamic segmentation, and personalized content.

  • Data-driven mindset. Comfortable working with customer behavior data, metrics, and reporting to optimize campaigns.

  • Attention to detail. Highly organized, capable of managing multiple campaigns and deadlines without missing anything.

  • Collaborative communication. Able to partner effectively with marketing, product, and engineering teams.

  • Growth mindset. Excited to learn and develop into a senior lifecycle marketing or CRM leader over time.
