We are looking for a VP of Marketing who is equal parts strategist, storyteller, and doer. You will step into a role with real momentum — and the mandate to evolve, test, and scale a marketing strategy that takes Medefy to its next horizon.

This is not a role for someone who wants to manage from a distance. You will be a hands-on leader — running experiments, shaping messaging, and iterating quickly to find what works. Critically, you know how to scale efficiently: drawing smartly on a mix of full-time team members, cross-functional partners, contractors, and evolving AI capabilities to maximize output without over-building. As the strategy proves out, you will grow the team deliberately, codify the playbook, and serve as the voice of marketing in the executive conversation. You will report directly to the CEO and operate as a true cross-functional partner to Sales, Product, Experience, and Customer Success.

About our awesome company, Medefy Health...

Medefy Health is an early-stage B2B SaaS company on a mission to transform how employers and their workforces navigate healthcare. Healthcare costs for employers are skyrocketing, and their employees and their families are mystified by complex health insurance, maze-like health benefits, and finding care that won’t financially punish them. Both need an easier way to cut through the complexity to find low-cost care, and that’s where we come in!  We sit at the intersection of health benefits, HR technology, and benefits guidance — helping employees make smarter, more confident healthcare decisions while driving meaningful cost savings for the employers who fund their benefits.

We’re a rapidly growing platform, and have grown to 2 million lives in 2026. We’re aggressively innovating on our core AI platform, our internal organization, and our message to a world that needs help navigating the pitfalls of healthcare to affordable care. This is a pivotal moment in Medefy's growth, and the VP of Marketing will be a critical architect of what comes next.
QualificationsJob Duties & Responsibilities:

Demand Generation & Pipeline Growth

Own the full demand generation strategy and supporting team across inbound and outbound channels — content, SEO/SEM, paid media, events, partnerships, and more.
Design and execute both broad demand gen programs and targeted account-based marketing (ABM) strategies aligned to our ICPs.
Build and continuously optimize a pipeline engine that feeds a rapidly expanding sales team, setting and hitting MQL, pipeline, and revenue contribution targets.
Establish and own marketing attribution and reporting, ensuring the business has clear visibility into what's working and what's not.

Positioning, Messaging & Competitive Strategy

Evolve and own Medefy's market positioning and core messaging — articulating our differentiated value clearly against a competitive landscape.
Lead the go-to-market narrative for our AI-powered platform evolution, translating technical progress into compelling buyer-facing stories.
Conduct ongoing competitive intelligence, market research and internal feedback sessions to sharpen Medefy's positioning over time.
Ensure messaging is consistent, resonant, and field-tested across all channels and customer touchpoints.

Sales Enablement & Customer Success Alignment

Build the sales enablement infrastructure that equips a rapidly scaling sales team to pitch confidently and win — including decks, battlecards, case studies, ROI tools, and talk tracks.
Partner closely with Customer Success to develop content and programs that drive retention, expansion, and advocacy.
Serve as the connective tissue between Product and Sales, ensuring new features and capabilities are translated quickly into market-ready messaging.

Brand, Content & Communications

Steward and strengthen the Medefy brand as we grow — ensuring visual identity, tone, and narrative remain cohesive across every interaction.
Oversee a content strategy that builds category authority, supports SEO, and nurtures prospects across the buying journey.
Drive PR and thought leadership efforts that elevate Medefy's profile in the employer health benefits and HR technology markets.

Team Building & Budget Management

Build the AI marketing team of the future – tool stack, platforms, and knowledge that will help us maximize effectiveness and efficiency
Craft and deploy AI agents who can help scale our message, platform, and team to outsized heights
Know how to test before you scale — validate what's working with a lean resource footprint before committing to headcount or budget.
Orchestrate a smart mix of full-time team members, cross-functional partners, contractors, agency relationships, and AI-powered tools to maximize output at every stage of growth.
Hire deliberately and with a high bar; grow the marketing team in step with proven strategy, not ahead of it.
Manage the marketing budget with rigor, allocating spend toward the highest-returning programs and adjusting dynamically based on data.

You must have at least the following:

8–15 years of B2B marketing experience, including demonstrated leadership in a high-growth or early-stage SaaS environment.
Proven track record driving demand generation and building scalable pipeline programs — you can point to the numbers.
Deep experience in product marketing: positioning, messaging, competitive analysis, and sales enablement.
Experience managing or collaborating closely with a sales-led GTM motion, with fluency in both broad demand gen. and ABM strategies.
Experience in the healthcare industry is strongly preferred - ideally across health benefits, employer health, or health insurance.
Familiarity with HR technology, self-insured employer markets, or employee benefits brokerage/consulting ecosystems.

Skills & Traits

A builder's mentality — you thrive in dynamic environments, are comfortable with ambiguity, and know how to prioritize ruthlessly.
Strong analytical instincts; you make decisions grounded in data while moving with appropriate speed.
Skilled at testing efficiently and scaling what works — you don't over-build before the signal is clear.
Resourceful and creative in how you build capacity: you know when to hire, when to contract, when to leverage AI tools, and when to lean on cross-functional partners.
Exceptional storytelling and written communication skills — you can translate complex healthcare and technology concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
Collaborative and commercially oriented; you see yourself as a partner to Sales and deeply invested in revenue outcomes.
Executive presence and communication skills to represent Marketing at the leadership level and with the CEO.
Experience hiring and developing marketing talent; you know what 'great' looks like and can attract it.
Deep knowledge of AI tools, platforms, agentic processes, and a willingness to implement them
