$180,000 - $200,000 USD yearly

Contract Term: This position is a 12-month maternity leave contract, with the possibility of extension based on organizational needs and performance. The ideal start date is June 1, 2026.

As VP of Marketing, you will hold a pivotal role at the core of our organization, reporting directly to the COO. Bucketlist is at a pivotal growth stage, and marketing is the engine. As VP of Marketing, you will own the pipeline strategy— leading the full demand generation function, the SDR team, and the partnership go-to-market strategy in close collaboration with the Partnerships team. This is not a brand or communications role; it is a pipeline ownership role for an operator who knows how to build and scale a B2B SaaS demand engine.

In this strategic position, you'll work closely with sales, customer success, partnerships, and product teams to spearhead our marketing efforts. Your primary responsibilities will be to drive lead and demand generation while shaping and implementing the overall marketing strategy. This role demands a blend of visionary thinking and practical execution, leveraging your expertise in B2B SaaS marketing to propel our company forward. Your leadership will be instrumental in achieving our ambitious growth objectives, making your mark on both our market presence and internal team development.

Reporting directly to the COO and sitting at the leadership table, you will inherit a team of 4 marketers and 5 contractors/agencies, a proven channel mix, and a clear ICP. Your mandate is to elevate what’s working, fix what isn’t, and build the systems and talent needed to take Bucketlist to its next ARR milestone. You will set the marketing targets, own the SDR function, and co-own the partner GTM strategy — accountable for the full pipeline number across both motions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the number. Set, commit to, and be accountable for all marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline targets that drive Bucketlist’s growth. This is a pipeline ownership role.
  • Lead and coach a high performance marketing team, supporting them in growth, alignment toward marketing and business goals.
  • Own and lead the SDR function. Hire, coach, and hold the SDR team accountable to pipeline targets, building tight alignment between inbound marketing and outbound prospecting.
  • Co-own the partnership GTM strategy. Work directly with the Partnerships team to develop and execute co-marketing programs, driving the 15% of pipeline sourced through the partner channel.
  • Own the demand generation engine. Set strategy and channel mix across all marketing channels, and hold the team accountable to execution — not just activity, but pipeline outcomes.
  • Build and run a high-performance marketing operating cadence. From quarterly planning and budget allocation to weekly pipeline reviews, you set the rhythm the team executes against.
  • Lead and develop a high-output marketing team. Manage a team of 4 FTEs and 5 contractors/agencies, setting a high bar for talent, accountability, and results.
  • Drive tight sales and marketing alignment. Partner with the sales leadership team to ensure ICP targeting, lead quality, handoff processes, and pipeline velocity are all optimized for growth.
  • Report marketing performance at the executive level. Own full pipeline reporting, budget ROI, MQL/SQL conversion, lead scoring, and attribution — presenting clearly to the CEO and leadership team on a regular cadence.

Required Skills for Success:

  • Experience leading high performance teams.
  • Proven success in mid-market and enterprise B2B Saas marketing working with sales and owning ICP-focused lead generation targets.
  • You have an established demand gen playbook for growing a B2B Saas business.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models, key metrics, and strategies to influence them.
  • Experimentation and iterative growth through testing and optimization is second nature to you.
  • Experience with product marketing, positioning and executing new product launches.
  • You understand the importance of constant communication and alignment between product, marketing and sales, and you’re committed to fostering strong alignment.
  • You can roll up your sleeves, immerse yourself in the details and execute campaigns.
  • 10+ years of marketing experience, 5+ years of management experience.

The Perks:
