Job Description

This is a hands-on role where your primary focus will be the flawless execution, day-to-day management, and continuous optimisation of global digital marketing campaigns. While you will contribute insights to strategy, your core responsibility is to drive measurable, scalable growth by expertly managing the operational aspects of digital channels across the artist/label and fan acquisition funnels worldwide.

You will report to a marketing leader within the Songtradr group, acting as the key operator for Bandcamp’s global digital performance channels.

Main Job Duties

Campaign Execution & Management (75%)

  • Global Performance Marketing:
  • Own the daily management of paid acquisition campaigns (PPC, Paid Social) across key global markets (e.g., North America, Western Europe, Australia), ensuring budgets are spent efficiently, and targets are met.
  • Implement and test international targeting strategies, localising messaging and creative assets where necessary to maximise relevance and conversion in different territories.
  • Execute A/B testing across ad copy, creative assets, landing pages, and audience targeting globally to continuously improve global CPL/CPA and ROAS.

SEO & Content Implementation:

  • Implement on-page and technical SEO recommendations (e.g., keyword integration, metadata changes) that account for international search behaviour and regional language variations.
  • Support the global distribution and promotion of Bandcamp Daily editorial content across digital channels.

Email & CRM Operations:

  • Build, test, and deploy global email marketing campaigns (newsletters, promotional offers, automated sequences), ensuring timezone sensitivity and regional relevance.
  • Manage audience segmentation for targeted fan and artist communications across international demographics.

Web & Analytics Tagging:

  • Ensure all necessary tracking pixels, conversion tags, and UTM parameters are correctly implemented across Bandcamp's marketing assets and landing pages, providing a unified view of global performance data.

Reporting & Optimisation (25%)

  • Establish and follow clear KPIs: Set clear, measurable engagement and commercial goals and metrics that are tracked and optimised consistently.
  • Global Performance Reporting: Track, measure, and analyze performance across all digital marketing channels (website traffic, conversion rates, cost per acquisition) using tools like Google Analytics, with the ability to segment and report results by country/region.
  • Actionable Insights: Compile detailed weekly and monthly reports, highlighting key results, explaining variances, and providing clear, data-driven recommendations for campaign optimisation, specifically addressing regional performance discrepancies.
  • International Market Monitoring: Continuously monitor platform trends, competitor activity, and local media consumption habits across target territories.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Execution Experience: 3+ years of demonstrable hands-on experience in a Digital Marketing, Performance Marketing, or Growth Marketing role, ideally within an e-commerce or digital platform environment, with proven exposure to running campaigns in multiple international markets.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of major digital advertising platforms, specifically Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager, including familiarity with global campaign setup and budget management across territories.
  • Analytics Mastery: High proficiency in Google Analytics (GA4) or equivalent web analytics tools, with a strong ability to set up tracking and interpret geo-specific data to inform campaign adjustments.
  • Global Mindset: An understanding of the nuances required for digital marketing outside of the domestic UK market (e.g., cultural sensitivity, international data regulations).
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional organisation and meticulous attention to detail required for managing complex, global campaigns and budgets simultaneously.
  • Music Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for independent music and Bandcamp's mission.
