Purpose & Scope
Background:
The XTANDI HCP and Patient Marketing Lead role is a critical member of the U.S. Brand team, leading Astellas’ flagship prostate cancer business.Â
This team leader is responsible for all HCP and Consumer Marketing efforts, in collaboration with functional partners, internal/external stakeholders (i.e. Pfizer co-promote partnering teams, Global Value Delivery teams, Sales, Insights & Analytics, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory and Agency partners).Â
This position requires:

High level responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Creating 3-year strategic brand plans • Overseeing and guiding commercial tactical plans across HCP and Consumer Marketing
- New product launch planning • Identifying insights and opportunities that drive product awareness, utilization and growth.Â

Role and Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of XTANDI’s strategic brand plan, tactical and omnichannel plans across HCP and Consumer to maximize the potential of XTANDI in the U.S.
- Member on the XTANDI Value Delivery CCT (Core Commercial Team) representing the U.S. alongside Brand Leads from the other strategic priority markets.
- Liaison with Medical Affairs to ensure alignment to Brand Strategies and Objectives, particularly those focused on educating HCPs on XTANDI’s data, clinical benefits and value proposition.
- Manage relationships and activities of our AOR, Media and Engagement agencies for strategy, creative and tactical plan development across all channels while ensuring agency resources are secured for successful execution.
- Guide the strategic needs of all stakeholder market research that informs our brand strategy, go-to market plans and financial forecasts.
- Partner with Insights & Analytics/OSO teams to develop, analyze and implement appropriate metrics to assess tactic and strategy effectiveness while adjusting accordingly to maximize performance across all channels.
- Drive the creation of customer engagement plans across all commercial stakeholders that drive product awareness, utilization and enhanced relationships.
- Promote strong collaboration and communication across both Astellas and Pfizer teams, identifying and recommending areas for improvement.
- Recommend and assess innovative ideas/technologies that can significantly improve brand growth, performance and value.
- Adhere to all budget management, accounting and governance policies in partnership with finance colleagues.
- Manage the A&P budget across HCP and Consumer
- Proactively focus on coaching, capability enhancement and career development of direct reports to foster personal and professional satisfaction, growth and retention

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 12+ years of relevant Pharmaceutical Industry experience in the U.S.
- Demonstrated experience in HCP, Consumer and/or Payer marketing
- Demonstrated ability as a high-level contributor and leader of multiple projects
- Oncology experience or demonstrated ability to get up to speed on new therapeutic areas quickly
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to present complex issues to higher level management and contribute to high-level presentations and discussions
- Must have demonstrated leadership capability leading teams and achieving business goals
- Experience successfully managing, coaching and developing people
- Must be willing to travel (approximately 30%)

Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or related advanced degree
- Experience working in a co-promotion
- Lung Cancer Marketing strongly preferred
- Marketing team leadership experience

This position can be based in Northbrook, or remote in the US.

Salary Range
$189,259 - $270,370 (Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and organizational equity considerations)Â
