About Us
Clasp is a venture-backed, mission-driven startup transforming access to education and career pathways. We are revolutionizing the way employers attract and retain critical talent, while simultaneously tackling the student debt crisis. (Yep, we think BIG.) Our innovative platform meaningfully connects employers, educational institutions, and diverse talent to drive mutual benefit—using accessible education financing as the thread. We like to think of ourselves as more than a fintech; we’re a catalyst for economic mobility.
A Forbes Fintech 50 company, portfolio company of SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management — the largest HR organization out there!) and recipient of “43 Start Ups to Bet Your Career On in 2025” by Business Insider, Clasp is driven by our commitment to social impact and innovation. We are reshaping the future of the workforce one opportunity at a time. Join us on our journey to give power to learners and unlock fulfilling careers that drive positive change in their communities and beyond.
What We Need
Someone who will own Clasp.com end-to-end and prepare it to handle orders of magnitude more viewers as our brand organically grows, our partnerships deepen, and agentic traffic becomes just as important as human traffic. The site currently serves three distinct audiences (employer buyers, university buyers, and prospective students) across two business lines, and is built on Sanity CMS, with no single person accountable for strategy, performance, or quality. You will change that.
This is not a content coordinator role, nor a dev role. It's a strategic leadership role where you'll partner closely with product, marketing, and company leadership to shape how our brand shows up in the world. We have a clear vision for where we're headed and strong instincts on brand and UX — what we're looking for is the expertise to pressure-test that vision, sharpen it, and bring it to life.
We are looking for someone who thinks like a marketer, operates like a builder, and can look at a messy multi-audience website and immediately see the architecture problem underneath. You’ll be expected to simultaneously do three things: fix what's not working, build scalable systems that should have existed, and drive measurable outcomes from the web channel.
What You’ll Do
Strategy & Architecture
Drive the site strategy to deliver large-scale inbound growth and exceptional experiences for organic inbound traffic, agentic LLM interactions and channel partnerships
Own a strong POV on how the site should be structured to best serve our multiple audiences
Own the site roadmap and prioritize ruthlessly given resource constraints
Make and defend recommendations on CMS tooling (we're on Sanity today but open to change)
Performance & Growth
Own SEO and GEO end-to-end: technical health, content strategy, agentic optimization, keyword targeting across B2B and D2C audiences
Build and optimize conversion paths for each audience — employer pipeline, university inquiries, student acquisition
Instrument the site properly: analytics, tracking, attribution; make sure we know what's working
Content & Experience
Own the publishing workflow — from brief to live — working with internal stakeholders and external contractors (copywriters, designers, developers) as needed
Collaborate with peers to integrate dynamic content into the website from internal and external sources of truth
Ensure the site reflects Clasp's brand with consistency and quality across every page
Keep content current across a fast-moving policy and product landscape
Operations
Manage external contractors and agency relationships as needed
Be the internal point of contact for anything touching the website — eng, marketing, sales, leadership
In collaboration with engineering and information security maintain the reliability and secure operations of the website
What You’ll Need
Must Have
4–7 years of experience in digital marketing, web strategy, or growth — with at least some of that owning a website or web channel directly
Demonstrated ability to think architecturally about multi-audience web experiences, not just execute on tasks
Strong working knowledge of SEO and GEO (both technical and content-side)
Experience and excellence with modern CMS platforms — Sanity, Webflow, Contentful, or comparable
Analytically grounded: you use data to make decisions and can build the reporting infrastructure if it doesn't exist
Strong writer and communicator — you'll be writing briefs, making recommendations to leadership, and occasionally writing copy yourself
Proven experience leveraging AI tools to automate manual tasks and research & implement best practices in modern web marketing
Nice to Have
Experience with B2B and B2C audiences on the same site or domain family
Familiarity with healthcare, HR tech, or fintech verticals
Basic HTML/JS/CSS — enough to not be blocked when a developer isn't available
Experience managing contractors or small agency relationships
What We Give In Return
Competitive cash and equity compensation
Health benefits (health, dental, & vision)
Student loan repayment benefits
401k matching
Commuter benefits
Flexible PTO policy
Opportunities to grow and perform in a fast-paced environment alongside a stellar team.
