Position Summary

**This role requires regular travel up to 80% of the time to Georgia, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Ohio.

The Vice President of Sales & Marketing is an executive leader responsible for driving revenue growth, brand positioning, and strategic market expansion across direct and distribution channels within a $50M+ annual revenue environment. This role requires deep industry expertise in quartz and surfacing, strong financial acumen, and exceptional leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate is a decisive, people-centered leader who builds high-performing teams while aggressively pursuing market opportunities.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Leadership

  • Direct and coordinate all sales and marketing functions within a $50M+ annual revenue framework.
  • Develop and execute the full sales cycle, methodology, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Establish sales quotas, revenue targets, and performance management systems.
  • Directly manage major and high-impact key accounts.
  • Analyze sales performance, costs, and results to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strong understanding of A/R, P&L performance, and pricing strategy.
  • Establish short-, mid-, and long-term sales objectives and operating procedures.

Market Strategy & Industry Leadership

  • Provide strategic leadership based on deep knowledge of the quartz manufacturing industry and competitive landscape.
  • Identify marketplace channels and growth opportunities across residential, commercial, and builder segments.
  • Develop and execute builder programs and commercial business development strategies.
  • Forecast industry trends, emerging technologies, and product innovations.
  • Lead color development and product-driven market initiatives.
  • Maintain knowledge of top high-volume fabricators in North America.
  • Build strategic trade partnerships with builders, fabricators, distributors, and national accounts.

Marketing & Brand Development

  • Lead company-wide marketing strategy, communications, and demand generation efforts.
  • Develop new marketing strategies, direct marketing initiatives, and project development opportunities.
  • Oversee development of all marketing and communication materials.
  • Evaluate marketing effectiveness and optimize campaign performance.
  • Promote strong relationships with partners, vendors, and distributors.

Leadership, Operations & Corporate Alignment

  • Serve as the primary liaison between executive leadership and major trade partners.
  • Recruit, train, coach, supervise, and evaluate sales and marketing staff.
  • Build and lead a high-performance, accountable team culture.
  • Develop and manage departmental and operating budgets.
  • Recommend and administer policies and procedures to enhance operations.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop company-wide business plans.
  • Lead with clear accountability, decisiveness, and execution focus.


Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Executive-level leadership experience in sales and marketing within the surface, quartz, or related manufacturing industry.
  • Demonstrated success managing revenue in excess of $50M annually.
  • Strong knowledge of forecasting, contracting, negotiation, budgeting, and change management.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead teams, manage multiple initiatives, and meet aggressive timelines.
  • Deep understanding of customer lifecycle, segmentation, and vendor positioning.
  • Strong competitive, technological, and market awareness.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% and work a flexible schedule.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field required.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 7–10+ years of senior-level Sales and/or Marketing leadership experience, preferably in the surface industry.


Physical Requirements

The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, reach with hands and arms, and communicate verbally. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 25 pounds may be required. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
