At Endear, we’re building the first modern CRM for retail teams, starting with the frontline. Our software empowers sales associates to have more personal, effective conversations with customers through AI-powered tools that drive measurable revenue.

Despite retail being 6x larger than eCommerce, most platforms overlook the in-store experience. We’re changing that. We’re helping brands like Reformation, Gorjana, Glossier, Frame, and Mizzen+Main turn real customer relationships into growth powered by intuitive software and thoughtful design.

As Endear enters its next phase of growth, marketing is becoming a central lever in how we scale. We are investing in leadership to help us move from strong momentum to a fully integrated, predictable go-to-market engine.


Position Overview

Endear is hiring a VP of Marketing to own and lead the entire marketing function. This role sits on the leadership team and is responsible for setting strategy, building systems, and scaling a high-performing marketing organization that supports long-term growth.

You will lead and mentor a growing team that includes Product Marketing and Demand Generation, with clear ownership across positioning, messaging, pipeline generation, and go-to-market execution. We are looking for a senior leader who knows how to evaluate what is working, fix what is not, and build a scalable marketing machine through strong people leadership and clear metrics.

You will partner closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to ensure marketing is tightly aligned to revenue goals, product expansion, and our core ICP. The focus is on selling more value to the same ICP through clear positioning, strong messaging, and effective demand systems.

What You’ll Accomplish

In your first 6 months, you’ll…

  • Take ownership of Endear’s full marketing strategy and operating model

  • Assess and refine existing demand generation and product marketing efforts

  • Establish clear KPIs across pipeline, attribution, conversion, and performance

  • Build strong operating rhythms with Sales and Product to align messaging and pipeline expectations

  • Coach and support existing team members, helping them level up in their functional areas

  • Create clarity around priorities, roles, and execution across the marketing org

In your first year, you will:

  • Lead a multi-layer marketing team, including Directors and their teams

  • Own marketing’s contribution to pipeline and revenue with predictable outcomes

  • Guide positioning and messaging for new products sold into the same ICP

  • Build scalable systems for planning, reporting, and forecasting

  • Manage and optimize a meaningful marketing budget with clear ROI discipline

  • Help position Endear as a category leader in modern retail clienteling

You’ll Thrive in This Role If...

You Have Experience With

  • Have 10 plus years of B2B SaaS marketing experience, including senior leadership roles

  • Have led teams of at least five people and scaled marketing organizations

  • Bring deep experience in either Product Marketing or Demand Generation, with strong fluency in both

  • Are highly metrics-driven and comfortable owning attribution, forecasting, and performance reporting

  • Have managed marketing budgets in the range of $500K to $750K or more

  • Have experience working in early-stage or growth-stage SaaS environments similar to Endear

  • Are confident partnering with Sales leadership as a peer, owning the marketing funnel end to end

  • Excel at mentoring and developing talent rather than executing every function yourself

  • Are energized by building clarity, systems, and momentum in growing organizations

About the Team

You’ll partner most closely with:

  • Sales Leadership: Align on pipeline strategy, lead quality, and revenue targets while ensuring marketing and sales operate as a unified growth engine.

  • Product Leadership: Shape messaging, positioning, and go to market strategies as new features and offerings are introduced.

  • Customer Success: Translate customer insights, retention patterns, and expansion opportunities into compelling value stories and lifecycle marketing programs.

  • CEO and Executive Team: Partner on company growth strategy, marketing investment decisions, and long-term positioning for Endear in the retail technology market.

We currently have a fractional CMO in place and are committed to a thoughtful, well-supported transition to this full-time VP role with meaningful overlap.
