Autodesk is changing how the world is designed and made. From the buildings we live in to the products we use to the movies that inspire us, Autodesk software empowers innovators to design and make a better world.

As Autodesk accelerates its product-led growth (PLG) strategy, we are seeking a Senior User Experience Designer with substantial growth experience to design high-impact initiatives across top-of-funnel, and product experiences. This role will shape how customers discover, evaluate, activate, and adopt Autodesk products—while ensuring our ecosystem remains cohesive, scalable, and customer-centered.

This is a strategic, hands-on role that combines systems thinking, experimentation rigor, and design excellence to drive measurable business outcomes.

For consideration, candidates must include portfolio (password included) that shows relevant to the role case studies.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Experience Design for Marketing Experiences, this Senior UX Designer will work on complex, cross-functional growth initiatives across upper- and mid-funnel journeys while closely collaborating with their cross-functional teams.

You will contribute to defining experience strategy, translating business goals into actionable design direction, and deliver solutions that operate effectively across Autodesk’s interconnected ecosystem. You will  help shape experimentation strategy, and raise the bar for growth design within the organization.

This role requires comfort navigating ambiguity, aligning diverse stakeholders, and driving clarity from problem framing through execution and iteration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and support end-to-end design initiatives that drive measurable impact across the marketing funnel. Partner with product, research and analytics to translate business KPIs into clear, testable hypotheses and define scalable experimentation roadmaps that drive acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention metrics.
  • Define and evolve ecosystem-aware experience strategies that strengthen Autodesk’s multi-product customer journey. Identify systemic friction across surfaces, design cross-touchpoint improvements, and contribute durable patterns that enable rapid experimentation without fragmenting the experience.
  • Design within complex, ambiguous problem spaces, bringing clarity to opportunity framing, solution direction, and execution. Produce high-quality interaction designs and prototypes, while ensuring alignment with design systems and platform standards.
  • Partner with product on hypothesis-led experimentation and continuous optimization, defining success metrics, evaluating experiment performance, and iterating based on qualitative and quantitative insights. Balance short-term performance improvements with long-term ecosystem health, usability, and customer trust.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership by facilitating cross-functional collaboration to solve complex design challenges and foster alignment across teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional UX/Product Design experience, with a demonstrated track record of independently leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from problem framing through delivery and iteration.
  • Proven experience designing growth-focused initiatives with measurable business impact across acquisition, activation, engagement, or retention, including translating business strategy and KPIs into clear experience direction and structured experimentation plans.
  • Strong fluency in product and growth metrics, with the ability to define success criteria, interpret quantitative and qualitative insights, and continuously optimize experiences based on data.
  • Advanced interaction design and prototyping skills, with a commitment to high-quality craft and a track record of mentoring peers and elevating design practice.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Autodesk or comparable competitive products.
  • Experience in organizations with mature experimentation practices.
  • Familiarity with analytics and experimentation tools.
  • Experience designing AI-powered interfaces, including conversational UI or intelligent content discovery.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design or related field.
