Senior Field Marketing Manager
Onyx SecurityAbout the Role:
Onyx is looking for a strategic Senior Field Marketing Manager to own our entire field and strategic events program from the ground up. This is a true builder role. You'll be responsible for both the strategy and hands-on execution across our field events portfolio: tier 1 industry conferences (Black Hat, RSA), regional field events, and Onyx-hosted experiences.
You'll sit at the intersection of sales and marketing, serving as the connective tissue that turns event presence into pipeline. If you thrive in fast-moving environments, love the energy of a live event, and know how to stretch a budget without sacrificing impact, this role is for you.
What You'll Own:
Event Strategy & Planning
- Develop and manage Onyx's annual field events calendar, prioritizing programs that drive pipeline at each stage of the funnel
- Own the strategy for our full event tier mix: tier 1 national conferences, regional road shows, and Onyx-hosted events (roundtables, executive dinners, etc.)
- Define success metrics for each event type and build reporting frameworks to track ROI
Tier 1 Conference Execution
- Own end-to-end execution for Tier 1 events including Black Hat, RSA, and other major cybersecurity industry conferences
- Manage booth logistics, sponsorship deliverables, speaking submissions, vendor relationships, and on-site coordination
- Partner with product marketing to ensure messaging and positioning are sharp and consistent
Regional & Hosted Events
- Design and execute targeted regional programs to support territory-level pipeline goals in partnership with field sales
- Plan and produce Onyx-hosted events -Â from intimate executive roundtables to larger prospect and customer experiences
- Build repeatable playbooks that can scale across regions as the company grows
- Produce channel marketing events in partnership with channel team
Sales & Marketing Alignment
- Work hand-in-hand with Account Executives and Sales Development Reps to ensure events are generating and accelerating the right pipeline
- Collaborate closely with demand generation and content teams to integrate events into broader campaign strategy
- Drive pre-event outreach, on-site engagement, and post-event follow-up in tight coordination with sales
Budget & Operations
- Own the field marketing budget: forecasting, tracking, and optimizing spend across the events portfolio
- Manage vendor and agency relationships, contract negotiations, and procurement processes
- Maintain accurate event data in our CRM/MAP to ensure pipeline attribution is captured
Requirements
What We're Looking For:
- 7+ years of field marketing experience, with at least 2–3 years in B2B cybersecurity, cloud technologies, or B2B SaaS
- Proven track record owning major industry events: RSA, Black Hat, etc., from strategy through execution
- Experience as a one-person or small-team operator; you're equally comfortable setting strategy and shipping boxes
- Strong sales partnership instincts. You understand pipeline, you speak the language of revenue, and you know how to make sales love field marketing
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple events simultaneously without dropping details
- Experience managing field marketing budgets at a startup or high-growth company
- Proficiency with marketing and sales tools (Salesforce, etc.)
- Willingness to travel (~30–40%) for events throughout the US
Nice to Have:
- Cybersecurity industry background
- Experience building field marketing from scratch at an early stage startup

- Remote work model
- Unlimited PTO
- Paid holidays and sick time
- Health, dental, vision insurance and wellness benefits
- Equity participation
- Home-office setup stipend
- Competitive salaryÂ
