Position Summary
Ironmark is seeking a strategic, analytical, and client-focused Senior Digital Marketing Strategist to lead integrated marketing strategy across a portfolio of client accounts.
This role serves as the strategic bridge between client business objectives and marketing execution, partnering with clients, account teams, and channel specialists to develop growth-focused strategies that drive measurable business outcomes. The Senior Digital Marketing Strategist is responsible for aligning marketing initiatives across the customer journey, translating performance data into actionable recommendations, and ensuring execution supports broader business goals.
The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen, marketing expertise, and analytical thinking with the ability to build trusted client relationships and influence cross-functional teams. This role does not directly manage personnel but plays a critical leadership role in shaping strategy, guiding execution, and driving client success.
Key Responsibilities
Client Strategy & Leadership
- Serve as the primary strategic advisor for assigned client accounts.
- Lead strategic planning initiatives, quarterly business reviews, growth discussions, and client consultations.
- Translate business goals into integrated marketing strategies and actionable roadmaps.
- Present strategic recommendations, performance insights, and growth opportunities to client stakeholders.
- Build trusted relationships through proactive consultation and strategic guidance.
Integrated Marketing Strategy
- Develop and oversee integrated marketing strategies across paid media, SEO, AEO, content marketing, email marketing, local marketing, analytics, and emerging digital channels.
- Ensure channel initiatives work cohesively throughout the customer journey and support business objectives.
- Collaborate with channel specialists to align tactical execution with strategic priorities.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance through audience targeting, conversion optimization, content alignment, media mix adjustments, and cross-channel coordination.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies, AI-driven search experiences, and evolving consumer behavior.
Performance & Growth Planning
- Analyze marketing performance data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and growth drivers.
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations for clients and internal teams.
- Develop testing roadmaps and optimization plans designed to improve business outcomes.
- Recommend channel investment strategies and budget allocation.
- Identify opportunities for account growth and expanded service adoption.
- Lead strategic onboarding and discovery efforts for new client engagements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Paid Media, SEO, Content, Creative, Analytics, Development, Local Marketing, and Account Management teams to ensure coordinated execution.
- Provide strategic guidance while respecting channel ownership and subject matter expertise.
- Support internal teams with market research, competitive insights, and strategic recommendations.
- Contribute to agency thought leadership, process improvements, and strategic best practices.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4–7 years of experience in digital marketing, growth marketing, account strategy, marketing consulting, or agency environments.
- Experience presenting recommendations and performance insights to clients or business stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of integrated digital marketing strategy and how multiple channels work together to drive business outcomes.
- Demonstrated expertise in multiple digital marketing disciplines and working knowledge across paid, organic, content, local, email, and analytics channels.
- Experience analyzing marketing performance data and translating insights into strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred
- Agency experience managing multiple client accounts.
- Experience supporting multi-location, healthcare, multifamily, higher education, franchise, or B2B marketing programs.
- Familiarity with GA4, Looker Studio, CRM platforms, marketing automation platforms, and reporting tools.
- Understanding of AI-powered search experiences, AEO, attribution frameworks, and conversion optimization.
