GitHub's Integrated Marketing team is looking for a Senior Content Marketing Manager to serve as the lead in developer audience marketing, content strategy, and leading key growth marketing motions and initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of storytelling, product insight, and measurable impact.
You'll focus on key growth marketing motions, build channel strategy, and partner with Product Marketing, Product, Social, Lifecycle, and Developer Relations to create content and journeys that inspire action. You'll turn data into narrative, and narrative into product adoption.
You're someone who’s highly technical, you know developers, and you're well-versed in the AI landscape and modern software development. In this role, you'll act as a subject matter expert to lead content targeteddevelopers, bringing a strong point of view on how to be clear, credible, and aligned to real workflows. You'll ensure content doesn't just reach developers, but reflects how they build, learn, and use tools in practice.
You'll also manage end-to-end execution planning across complex, cross-functional initiatives, analyze performance data to generate insights, and continuously improve how content drives sustained developer engagement.
Lead GitHub's developer content strategy across awareness, consideration, and adoption — including briefs, timelines, and editorial planning.
Create and edit content that hits a high quality bar and focuses on topics developers care about.
Translate developer insights and product telemetry into actionable messaging, content themes, and campaigns that drive activation and retention.
Partner with Product and PMM to align positioning, messaging, and campaigns designed to sustain product engagement.
Work with Lifecycle to build onboarding, nurture, and reactivation email series.
Build content strategy to support paid media and creative execution.
Define and measure success by analyzing KPIs across campaigns, products, and revenue outcomes.
Identify patterns in developer engagement and behavior to refine strategy and improve how developers interact with products over time.
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior leadership, to inform decision-making.
Guide how campaign assets come to life across channels (web, lifecycle, paid media, events), ensuring consistency and relevance.
Act as a quality bar for how campaigns show up to developers — flagging when messaging feels overly promotional, abstract, or disconnected from real usage.
