Job Summary:
This position will help optimize the hedging, pricing, sale, and management of mortgage loans inÂ
the secondary market. By analyzing market trends, investor demands, regulatory compliance, and loanÂ
characteristics, you will help assist in mitigating risks associated with interest rate riskÂ
movement, while helping to ensure the maximum profitable return. This role will also support LockÂ
Desk functions for clients.
Location: Remote (candidates must currently reside in the Pacific Time Zone)
Responsibilities:
•  Balance mortgage pipeline exposure through the efficient execution of TBA MBS trading to offsetÂ
the interest rate risk associated with hedging a mortgage pipeline.
•  Collaborate with clients to align loan sales strategies. Execute loans sales while utilizing aÂ
best-execution strategy.
•  Regularly review, scrub, and analyze the mortgage pipeline at a loan level to ensure maximumÂ
profitability from a pipeline level.
•  Stay updated on secondary market trends, interest rate movements, and economic indicators thatÂ
affect mortgage-backed securities (MBS) pricing. Adjust strategy as demand permits.
•  Provide detailed reporting and analysis on loan sales, interest rate risk, profitability, hedgeÂ
strategies, and investor activity.
•  Executing Lock Desk responsibilities for clients.
Qualifications:
•  1-2 years of experience in secondary marketing exposure and interest rate risk.
•  Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excel knowledge, SQL experience, and financialÂ
modeling preferred.
•  Understanding of the secondary market, loan sales, MBS structuring, and investor behavior.
•  Attention to detail is critical. Ability to analyze large sets of data and maintain accuracy inÂ
reporting and analysis.
