The Retention Marketing Specialist owns the day-to-day execution of email and SMS production for our clients. This includes project management, content planning, copy and creative briefs, HTML builds, QA, and scheduling. You will manage end-to-end production and keep timelines on track across design, strategy, and client teams. You will work closely with a Retention Marketing Strategist to support retention strategy, reporting, and ongoing optimization. If you enjoy organized workflows, sharp deadlines, clean builds, and improving the customer journey through thoughtful messaging, you will do well here.

What You Will Do

You will manage the full production process for email campaigns and automated flows, build emails in Klaviyo or similar ESPs, write on-brand copy, create clear briefs for the design team, QA content and logic, and schedule deployments. You will maintain the monthly content calendar, drive timelines with clients, and ensure all assets and approvals stay on track. You will support the Retention Marketing Strategist by pulling performance data, analyzing results, and developing recommendations. You will build automated workflows, segmentation, and list logic, maintain list hygiene, and work confidently with Shopify apps such as Yotpo, Loyalty Lion, JustUno, and Privy.

What You Need

You have at least two years of retention marketing experience across email, SMS, CRM, or loyalty. You have hands-on ESP experience, with Klaviyo strongly preferred. You bring strong copywriting skills for DTC ecommerce and can adapt tone and style to each client’s brand. You understand email analytics and know how to turn insights into action. You understand the difference between campaigns and automated flows and know when to use each. You can build segmented lists using behavioral and transactional data. You have experience working in Shopify or supporting Shopify clients. You show initiative, stay organized, think through the entire customer journey, and work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Selection Process

The selection process includes a video interview screening, followed by role-specific discussions (possible assessment) and a final leadership conversation.
