Our integrated AgTech program combines AI, sensor data and lab analytics to deliver actionable insights that improve cultivation performance.
OVERVIEW OF POSITION
The Performance Marketing Manager is a centralized campaign execution and strategy leader responsible for planning, managing, and scaling marketing programs across Hydrobuilder Holdings' multi-brand portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of brand, creative, and data — driving how customers discover, engage with, and convert across email, social, video, and digital channels. The Performance Marketing Manager operates with a test-and-learn mindset: move fast, measure everything, and iterate with purpose. All brand-level strategy and major campaign decisions are aligned with the Marketing Director.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Campaign Strategy & Execution
- Plan and execute cross-channel campaigns across email, social, and video
- Translate brand goals into clear messaging, targeting, and channel strategy
- Ensure the right message reaches the right audience at the right moment
- Maintain campaign consistency across the multi-brand portfolio while honoring individual brand voices
Email & Lifecycle Marketing
- Own campaign execution including segmentation, onboarding, and lifecycle flows
- Support list growth, deliverability, and performance optimization
- Balance promotional initiatives with audience engagement and retention
- Maintain cadence and quality standards across all active email programs
Social, Video & Content Distribution
- Collaborate with brand leads to develop social and video-driven campaigns
- Repurpose long-form content into short-form video, carousels, reels, and email assets
- Test new formats and distribution strategies with a performance mindset
- Identify and prioritize high-impact distribution opportunities across organic and paid channels
AI-Native Content & Workflow
- Leverage AI-native tools (e.g., Sora, MidJourney, Canva AI, generative platforms) to accelerate creative production
- Integrate AI into marketing processes across platforms like Klaviyo, HubSpot, Figma, and analytics tools
- Use automation and AI-assisted workflows to reduce manual work and increase iteration speed
- Stay current on emerging AI tools and apply them strategically — not just experimentally
Audience Targeting & Funnel Management
- Support lead generation initiatives, landing pages, and conversion flows
- Align messaging across B2C e-commerce and B2B marketing efforts
- Understand how video, email, and social fit into the broader funnel and optimize accordingly
Performance Measurement & Optimization
- Define and track meaningful campaign KPIs aligned to business goals
- Analyze performance data and translate insights into prioritized action
- Run structured experiments focused on real growth, not vanity metrics
- Report on campaign performance to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with brand leads, creative teams, Commercial Account Executives, and leadership to ensure campaign alignment
- Update CRM and internal systems to ensure continuity across all marketing touchpoints
- Support onboarding of new brands or programs into the HBH marketing infrastructure
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIS)
- Email campaign on-time deployment rate ≥ 95%
- Email open and click-through rates at or above industry benchmark by channel
- Campaign performance reporting delivered ≤ 5 business days post-campaign
- AI/automation adoption: measurable reduction in manual production hours per quarter
- Cross-channel experiment cadence: ≥ 2 structured A/B tests per month
- Data completeness and CRM update compliance: 100%
- Safety incident rate: 0 preventable incidents
KEY CHALLENGES
- Maintaining consistent campaign quality and brand integrity while executing across multiple brands simultaneously
- Staying current with rapidly evolving AI tools and integrating them into live workflows without disrupting active campaigns
- Balancing B2C and B2B marketing priorities that may have competing timelines, audiences, and messaging requirements
- Translating performance data into actionable decisions quickly in a fast-moving, multi-channel environment
- Operating with minimal creative infrastructure while producing high-volume, high-quality campaign assets
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 3–6 years of experience in marketing, campaign management, or growth roles
- Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms (Klaviyo or HubSpot preferred) and social media campaign management
- Working knowledge of video as a distribution and acquisition tool; experience producing or directing short-form video content preferred
- Experience supporting both B2C (e-commerce) and B2B marketing programs
- Demonstrated ability to operate in an AI-native marketing environment with proficiency in generative tools
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to build and interpret campaign performance reports
- Customer-facing professionalism and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
- Comfort working across multiple brands and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
