About Auror

At Auror, we’re empowering the retail industry to tackle theft and Organised Retail Crime, a $150 Billion problem globally. It’s high volume crime that’s increasingly organised in nature and is putting people, retailers, and communities at risk every day.

Founded in New Zealand 12 years ago, we’re working with some of the best and largest retailers in the world across the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.

Auror is connecting people and intelligence to reduce crime. We’re using technology for good.

In partnership with our leading retail partners, we need people with the passion, determination, and innovation required to overcome one of the world's largest problems. If you’re looking to make a difference with and for the people dedicated to stopping crime, for good, then we want you on our team.

We're also embracing the potential of AI to supercharge our impact—whether that's enhancing the way we detect trends, support our customers, or improve internal workflows. As a company, we're committed to responsibly incorporating AI into how we work and what we build, and we encourage all Aurors to be curious about how AI can elevate their work, regardless of role or function.

The Role

As our Marketing Specialist, you’ll collaborate with our global marketing team to help drive pipeline growth across North America, supporting campaigns, events, and regional marketing programs that build Auror’s brand and engage the people who keep retail safe. You’ll join a small, fast-moving marketing team that works closely with sales and customer teams to bring our story to market and deliver real business impact. This is a hands-on role where you’ll learn by doing—perfect for a curious, motivated marketer who loves connecting the dots across teams, trying new things, and seeing your work make a measurable difference.

Practically, this will involve:

  • Support the planning and coordination of integrated and account-based marketing campaigns that generate qualified pipeline and support key growth objectives—working closely with our global Demand Generation team on campaign setup, targeting, and measurement.
  • Partner with our Events Marketing Manager to plan and deliver impactful in-person experiences—supporting logistics, promotion, and post-event engagement to ensure every touchpoint drives measurable business outcomes.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop event briefs, capture learnings, and translate them into actionable insights and follow-up.
  • Develop campaign briefs and adapt content across email, web, social, and digital channels—ensuring Auror’s story is effectively localized and resonates with regional audiences.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer teams to align marketing efforts with business priorities and highlight success stories from the field in conjunction with content marketing.
  • Work with global marketing partners to regionalize content and amplify global campaigns for the North American audience.
  • Help manage the distribution and amplification of case studies and other marketing assets, ensuring consistent messaging and optimized reach.
  • Collaborate with the global Demand Generation team on reporting and performance measurement, interpreting results to surface insights that inform future strategy.
  • Exploring AI-powered tools to streamline collaboration, messaging,  improve processes and efficiency, enhance insights, and scale the impact of marketing activities.

This role reports to Jessica Morrow, Marketing Director, North America

I’m a marketing leader passionate about building full-funnel programs that drive revenue and accelerate growth. With 10+ years of experience in tech startups and scale-ups, I set clear strategy and connect it to execution across demand generation, brand, and performance marketing—moving fast, measuring what matters, and celebrating wins along the way.

I’m building a collaborative, high-performing marketing team where curiosity, strong cross-functional partnerships, and smart experimentation drive results. If you’re energized by owning campaigns end-to-end and want to do meaningful work at a mission-driven company, you’ll thrive here.

Outside of work, I love being with my husband and two young boys, often exploring Colorado or traveling somewhere new.

About you

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have 2–3 years of marketing experience, ideally in B2B or SaaS environments, supporting a sales-led motion to enterprise accounts.
  • Strong project management and coordination skills—you can bring structure to fast-moving projects.
  • Have experience supporting or coordinating multi-channel campaigns or in person events that drive pipeline growth and demand generation.
  • Are an all-rounder—comfortable working across campaigns, events, and analytics.
  • Enjoy working cross-functionally with sales, customer, and global marketing teams to ensure alignment and impact.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills and a sharp eye for detail.
  • Curious and data-driven—comfortable using metrics and insights to improve outcomes.
  • Are proactive and adaptable, comfortable jumping into new projects and bringing structure where it doesn’t yet exist—typical of fast-moving startups and scale-ups.
  • Are curious about AI and how it can enhance creativity, insight, and efficiency in marketing.
  • Bonus: Experience with marketing automation and analytics tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or Google Analytics.

We are looking for people who demonstrate a strong alignment to our Guiding Principles (you can find these on our Careers page).

Auror is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible application process to all candidates and we are actively working to improve diversity within the tech industry. We celebrate diversity and inclusiveness at Auror, regardless of (but not limited to) race, gender, sexual orientation, family status, religion, ethnicity, national origin, physical disability, veteran status, or age.

If you need adjustments to any part of our recruitment process because of accessibility reasons, please do not hesitate to let us know during the application process. We will work with you to identify adjustments that will allow you to perform at your best.

  • Competitive salary range: Depending on level of experience of $60,000-85,000 USD (IC1/IC2)
  • Annual bonus: Eligibility for a NZD $1,000-2,000 bonus at the end of the financial year if we’ve hit our revenue goals together.
  • Employee share scheme: You’ll own part of a company making a real difference!
  • Flexibility: We are hard-working and outcome focused, but recognise there is more to life than work. We promote a healthy work/life blend.
  • Shorter work weeks (at full pay): Everyone gets Friday afternoons off, so you can start your weekend early, and do more of whatever it is that makes you happy.
  • Focus on mental and physical health: We understand how vital our health is and have policies to support your wellness, including Wellness Days,  and up to $500 USD for expert sessions every year.
  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision): Auror covers 100% of the cost of your individual health insurance plan with Anthem & Metlife.
  • Family-friendly: We offer comprehensive paid parental leave - 12 weeks for birth parents and 6 weeks for non-birth parents following birth, adoption, or surrogacy, available to all Aurors from day one.
  • Personal growth: We support our team to participate in courses, conferences, or events that will help them develop their skills.
  • Team love: We have regular team lunches and social events where most (if not all) activities are during work hours.
