Our Marketing Project Manager keeps AORN’s Health Care Organizations (HCO) and Lines of Business (LOB) marketing work organized, on track, and ready to move from plan to execution. This role provides project coordination, workflow management, quality control, and execution support for the Sr Manager, Segment Marketing – HCO and the broader Marketing department. The Marketing Project Manager is responsible for collaborating with department stakeholders and marketing leadership to turn LOB objectives and marketing strategy into actionable project plans. 

This position manages timelines, workflows, development of campaign assets and other deliverables, budgets, dependencies, project documentation, review cycles, approvals, cross-departmental project communication, and KPI tracking. The Marketing Project Manager ensures projects align to AORN’s strategic objectives, produce high-quality results across marketing channels, and deliver on time, within scope and budget. The Marketing Project Manager works closely with marketing leadership, Nursing Education, creative, digital, web, analytics, events, sales, and other internal stakeholders.

The Marketing Project Manager plays a critical role in enabling the Sr Manager, Segment Marketing – HCO to focus on strategy, segmentation, messaging, and market insights by ensuring smooth execution and strong cross-functional communication and collaboration.

AORN is based in Denver, CO. Our Marketing Project Manager will work remotely. 

More about what you’ll get to do as our Marketing Project Manager: 

Campaign & Project Coordination

  • Coordinate the planning, scheduling, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns supporting customer growth, engagement, and retention. 
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for Lines of Business project intake and ensure alignment with quarterly planning set by the Sr Manager, Segment Marketing – HCO. 
  • Manage the development and completion of creative briefs in collaboration with the Sr Manager, Segment Marketing – HCO and internal stakeholders. 

Workflow, Timeline & Resource Management 

  • Manage project plans, timelines, workflows, budgets, and task assignments across creative, digital, web, analytics, and sales teams. 
  • Track status of all active marketing projects, campaigns, and deliverables; proactively identify risks, dependencies, and roadblocks.
  • Facilitate project handoffs, kickoffs, and review cycles to ensure clarity of goals, messaging, assets, and timelines. 
  • Support project intake processes, prioritization frameworks, and resource allocation.  

Stakeholder Communication & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with creative, web, digital, events, and sales teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of assets, content, and campaign components. 
  • Provide meeting summaries, project progress reports and documentation, milestone tracking, and follow-up communications for LOB marketing initiatives. 
  • Help resolve project questions, clarify ownership, and escalate issues appropriately when timelines, deliverables, resources, or approvals are at risk.  

Creative & Digital Asset Production Support

  • Coordinate campaign assets with creative, digital, web, and other internal teams. 
  • Maintain organized repositories of campaign materials, templates, creative briefs, and historical project documentation in SharePoint or other assigned folders.
  • Assist with preparation of presentations, collateral, or briefing materials for internal and external partners. 

Quality Control, Brand Standards & Approval Routing

  • Ensure all marketing outputs meet AORN’s brand, regulatory, and quality standards, working closely with the creative team to assure adherence to brand standards and values.
  • Ensure all assets for all projects (copy, design, web content, collateral, email sequences, social assets) move through appropriate review and approval processes within the marketing team and among LOB stakeholders. 

Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Partner with the Sr Manager, Segment Marketing in compiling campaign performance metrics, dashboards, and post-campaign reports, and preparing and maintaining playbooks for the sales team. 
  • Assist the Marketing Segment team in evaluating marketing technology tools, workflows, or systems that may improve efficiency. 
  • Support the Sr Manager, Segment Marketing - HCO in compiling campaign performance metrics, KPI tracking, dashboards, post-campaign reports, and outcomes summaries to help identify trends, risks, opportunities, and ways to optimize spend and improve future campaigns.  
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Must Have’s to be our Marketing Project Manager:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, project management or related field. A combination of education and work experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 3 – 4 years of project management or marketing operations experience, preferably in healthcare (medical, hospitals, or related healthcare industries), professional associations, or an agency supporting clients in these sectors. 
  • Experience working with marketing tools such as CMS, CRM, marketing automation, workflow/project management platforms and analytics dashboards. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in an agency setting, internal or external. 
  • Familiarity with integrated marketing campaigns, digital marketing workflows, marketing AI functionality, and cross-functional creative processes.
  • PMP, CPM, or equivalent project management certification. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong project management capabilities, including timeline creation, tracking, documentation, and communication. 
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels, including creative, digital, sales, and LOB leaders. 
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of quality. 
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry dynamics.
