The Marketing Programs Specialist produces email, web, and print marketing initiatives featuring Preferred Partner travel supplier promotions, news, and products. Initiatives include multi-channel campaigns, standalone mailers, and newsletters. Content is sourced from participating partners (cruise, hotels, tour operators, etc.) and internal Virtuoso business stakeholders and distributed to Virtuoso member advisors (B2B) and their consumer clients (B2C). This role creates and contributes to e-newsletters, website landing pages, print direct mailers, catalogs, directories, and magazine advertisements. Daily objectives include ensuring marketing messaging is clear, concise, and accurate with an overall look and feel that is compelling, on brand, and accomplishes company goals to achieve measurable ROI objectives.Â
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Source content from Preferred Partners and business stakeholders and ensure branding, promotions, and products are presented accurately and compellingly in Virtuoso marketing campaigns and mailings. Maintaining awareness and familiarity with evolving goals, marketing plans, and brand standards is required.
- Execute multi- and single-partner digital and print products, which includes tracking participation, budgeting, sourcing content, developing creative, directing copywriters and designers, selecting targeted consumer lists, uploading creative assets, and deploying finished products.
- Follow established processes and best practices to accomplish Virtuoso, Member, and Partner goals and drive the performance of marketing programs.
- Ensure Magazine Manager sales system data accurately reflects Preferred Partner participation in assigned marketing projects, including content type and ad rates. Collaborate with Global Partner Relations to adjust as business needs dictate.
- Proofread, edit, and fact-check content to ensure the presentation is accurate, compelling, and adheres to best practices.
- Facilitate the internal review and approval process for marketing projects, implementing feedback from internal and external groups to ensure marketing products achieve the most effective presentation.
- Collaborate with Marketing Production department for scheduling, budgeting, and distributing marketing products.
- Collaborate with Supplier Partners and the Marketing Data Segmentation Manager to select targeted consumer lists for email and print campaigns.
- Complete quality assurance of digital marketing products, ensuring compatibility with web browsers and email clients and that all links, images, subject lines, personalized fields, and list segments are accurate and working properly.
- Attend educational seminars and webinars to refine skills and keep current on industry trends and developments.
Educational and Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field
- 2+ years’ experience in marketing, advertising, or a related field
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Internet navigation is required
- Knowledge of print and email design is preferred
- Account management experience is preferred
- Experience working with HubSpot or other email/digital marketing platform is preferred
- Experience with CMS (Content Management Systems) is preferred
- Experience with CRM (Client Relationship Management) systems is preferred
- Experience in the travel industry is preferred
- Strong writing, proofreading, and verbal/interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Travel Requirements:
- Infrequent travel may be required to attend company events (1-3 trips per year).
- Travel will be entirely domestic.

- Internal: Key job contacts are primarily with clerical, technical personnel and managers outside of the job’s immediate work unit/department.
