Role Overview
We are seeking a Marketing Manager to serve as the internal owner of marketing strategy and campaign execution at VJR Consulting Firm. This is a working manager role. The Marketing Manager will serve as the primary driver of marketing strategy and execution and will be expected to personally execute core marketing campaigns while owning the overall strategy.
In this role, you will take high-level vision and priorities set by the Chief Education Officer (e.g., “Launch a Q2 webinar on X topic” or “Increase booked consultations”) and translate them into clear marketing strategies, campaigns, and execution timelines. You will own campaign design and delivery end-to-end—writing briefs, setting targets, building funnels, executing campaigns, and using performance data to refine and improve results.
This role is ideal for an early- to mid-career marketing professional who has strong execution skills and is ready to grow into deeper strategic ownership. Over time, this role is expected to replace external marketing consultants and become the internal marketing lead, with the opportunity to coach or manage junior marketing support as the firm scales.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Planning
Translate organizational priorities and leadership vision into actionable marketing strategies and campaigns
Develop quarterly and semi-annual marketing plans (e.g., Q1/Q2) aligned to business goals and capacity
Establish and refine Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs), audience segments, and corresponding user journeys
Design clear pathways to conversion, including discovery calls, program enrollment, referrals, and re-engagement
Develop and refine positioning statement and core message pillars based on the ICP’s needs
Proactively track marketing and education industry trends and integrate relevant insights into campaign strategy, messaging, and positioning. Â
Campaign Ownership & Execution
Own end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns, including:
Campaign briefs and timelines
Messaging and positioning
Funnel design (emails, landing pages, CTAs)
Launch coordination and follow-through
Write and edit marketing copy across channels (email, landing pages, social posts), prioritizing clarity, accuracy, and action
Build and maintain landing pages, forms, and basic funnels using Wix, Go High Level) and related tools
Collaborate with internal team members and contractors as needed to support design, video, or specialized assets Â
Content & Channel Strategy
Develop and maintain a social media content strategy aligned to VJR’s content pillars (visibility, thought leadership, product offerings)
Ensure consistent posting cadence aligned to the marketing calendar
Engage with followers, partners, and relevant communities to increase visibility and brand awareness
Leverage analytics to refine channel strategy (e.g., posting timing, content formats, engagement trends) Â
Monitor performance data and adjust strategies and tactics accordingly
Maintain visibility into key metrics, including:
Social engagement and growth
Consultation bookings
Webinar registration and attendance
Refine dashboard to highlight marketing KPIs and report observations and next steps to Chief Education Officer on a monthly basis Â
Website Strategy, Build, and Launch
Own website strategy and page architecture in service of campaign goals, including messaging, structure, and conversion pathways.
Build and launch new landing pages, forms, and funnels using Wix and GoHighLevel, ensuring alignment to campaign objectives and user journeys.
 Define page purpose, calls to action, and performance expectations; delegate ongoing updates and upkeep to the Professional Assistant as appropriate.
Strategic Assets & Systems
Lead the development and refinement of VJR’s core brand assets, including brand guidelines, key messaging frameworks, and positioning statements aligned to the firm’s mission and values.
Develop and maintain a consistent “brand story” that clearly communicates VJR’s impact, approach, and differentiation across all marketing channels.
Own the creation and ongoing refinement of a branded slide deck template and core presentation materials used for webinars, proposals, and speaking engagements.
Ensure all marketing materials reflect cohesive brand voice, visual standards, and messaging consistency across platforms.
Establish repeatable templates and systems for proposals, case studies, campaign briefs, and reporting dashboards to increase efficiency and quality.
Lead the annual development of VJR’s Annual Report as a recurring strategic asset, including:
Narrative development and positioning
Synthesis of case studies and impact data
Coordination of inputs and production support as needed
Use project management tools (e.g., ClickUp, Monday.com) to plan work, track progress, and ensure transparency Â
Collaboration & Leverage
Collaborate closely with the Chief Education Officer to align on priorities, messaging, and approvals
Effectively leverage the Professional Assistant for executional marketing support, including scheduling posts, uploading content, formatting pages, and implementing approved updates.
Maintain clear briefs, timelines, and expectations to ensure delegated work aligns with campaign strategy and brand standards.
Partner with external consultants on a project basis as needed, with the goal of internalizing core marketing ownership over time Â
Success Metrics
Success in this role looks like:
Marketing campaigns are planned at least 2–4 weeks in advance with clear briefs and timelines
Messaging is audience-specific, clear, and aligned to VJR’s mission and values
Increased engagement and visibility across social platforms (target ~20% growth over time)
Consistent, measurable growth in consultation bookings and qualified leads
Webinars and programs meet or exceed registration and attendance targets
Internal stakeholders are clear on upcoming campaigns, timelines, and expectations Â
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing preferred; Specific training in Marketing is a plus.
3+ years of demonstrated experience in marketing, communications, or digital marketing roles
Experience in B2B , consulting or education sector is a huge plus.
A minimum of 2 years experience building and launching end to end funnels (email sequences, landing pages, CTAs)
Previous direct ownership of marketing campaign execution and performance outcomes
Previous experience writing marketing copy with proven results, emphasizing clarity, creativity and accuracy Hands on experience with email marketing tools and website builders, s such as Google Workspace (including Google Analytics) , Wix, GoHighLevel, email marketing platforms, and social scheduling tools
Familiarity with project management systems (ClickUp or Monday.com preferred)
Strong project management skills with ability to plan campaigns at least 2-4 weeks in advance
Ability to analyze performance data and adjust tactics accordingly
Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with leadership
Candidates should be prepared to share examples of campaigns they personally executed, including landing pages, emails social campaigns, and discuss performance results. Portfolio or prior examples of marketing campaigns are required Â

JOB DETAILS
Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire | Remote
Full-Time Hours will begin with 32 hours per week with the goal to increase to 40 hours per week by the end of the contract period
Employment Type: Contract-to-hire with a defined 90-day onboarding & evaluation period
 Compensation:
Contract: $30–35/hour, depending on experience
Full-time conversion target: $65,000–$75,000 annually, based on scope and performance
Schedule: Primarily weekdays during core business hours (9:00 am–6:00 pm ET)
Growth Path
This role is designed to grow with the organization. Over time, the Marketing Manager is expected to become the internal owner of marketing strategy and systems, reduce reliance on external consultants, and potentially coach or manage junior marketing support as the firm scales.
