About the role
We’re looking for a Marketing Lead to join our Marketing team, and play a key role in being responsible for positioning and effectively communicating the proposition and developing and executing the go to market strategy for Activate Group’ insurance, manufacturer and repair businesses.
This role requires a creative person with a deep understanding of marketing strategy, market research, sales enablement, digital marketing, content creation, and data analysis to drive engagement and visibility across all channels.
This person will be the key stakeholder for business leaders and will develop strategies based on business priorities and be prepared to challenge the status quo.

Key responsibilities
- Build and execute the marketing strategy and activity for products & solutions, and define & implement the approach across all market-facing channels
- Be involved in the budgeting process, ensuring it aligns with business goals, and track spend and return on investment.
- As part of the Group Marketing leadership team, help to define overall marketing strategy and shared ways of working.
- Build strong relationships with the leadership teams and support core sales activity including significant bids, tenders and events.
- Define and lead the brand and marketing direction, and ensure there is clear accountability for content delivery
- Lead the digital marketing strategy to include SEO best practice, paid promotional activity and visibility across key digital channels
- Lead on data analysis to assess the performance of marketing and content
- Develop and brief imaginative content based on a clear understanding of the different audiences for each brand
- Ensure delivery of copy and content for websites, blogs, slide decks, emails, social platforms, and publication partners, on time and to a consistently high quality
- Work in partnership with our Designer, providing effective briefs for visual media,
- Ensure consistency in the creation of the visual elements of our collateral (e.g., infographics, slide decks, video, website, email layouts) and ensure they meet our brand guidelines and are relevant to the target audience
- Work with key stakeholders to define and lead production of collateral for external marketing campaigns including events, publication partnerships and targeted campaigns.
- Liaise with external suppliers of photography, video, exhibition, and promotional material.
Skills and experience
- At least five years of experience in product marketing, digital marketing and content creation
- Ability to create and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy
- Ability to define value propositions for services and solutions
- In-depth knowledge of digital marketing channels, including SEO, social media, email marketing, and PPC advertising, to drive online visibility and engagement.
- Strong analytical skills to measure and assess the performance of marketing initiatives.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of creating content from scratch - planning, researching and engaging with stakeholders to understand and deliver quality content
- Excellent project management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines, and the ability to delegate effectively to other members of the team
