ROLE OVERVIEW
The Marketing Intern will support the performance marketing team across foundational marketing work that benefits from dedicated ownership, including organic social, local marketing, paid campaign coordination, and cross-functional support. This role pairs one clear core project with measurable outcomes alongside meaningful exposure to the broader marketing function.

What Success Looks Like
Success in this role is measured across four primary project areas, with a clear emphasis on the organic social audit and optimization work as the core summer focus. The intern will be expected to take ownership of discovery and documentation across all projects, while key execution decisions are reviewed in partnership with the manager and relevant team members. At the end of the internship, the intern will deliver a final presentation summarizing work completed, findings, recommendations and next steps.

defined business outcomes and operational deliverables for each.
PROJECT 01 · PRIMARY FOCUS
Organic Social Audit, Optimization & Reporting
Conduct a full audit of organic social presence across all Sun Auto Network brands, clean up legacy and inactive pages, optimize active profiles, create a repeatable SOP for future M&A social cleanup, and tie the work back to appointment activity through GA4 reporting. Audit Facebook and Instagram pages across Sun Auto Network brands. Identify duplicate, outdated, inactive or legacy pages for cleanup. Optimize profile information for accuracy, organic search and conversion. Support the BirdEye connection process and posting where applicable. Create an SOP for M&A organic social cleanup. Review GA4 appointment activity tied to organic social and document tracking gaps.
PROJECT 02 · SUPPORTING
Local Marketing & Communications
Bring structure to local marketing events through a dedicated Monday.com workspace, while supporting the broader communications workflow with meeting recaps, follow-ups and cross-team coordination. Build or refine a Monday.com workspace for local marketing events. Develop task templates and status tracking for event workflows. Audit the current intake form and integrate it into the Monday.com workflow. Support communications coordination, meeting recaps and cross-team follow-ups.
PROJECT 03 · SUPPORTING
TGK · MN State Fair Campaign
Serve as the performance marketing liaison between the broader team and paid media asks. Coordinate the all-channel rollout (paid social, email and text) and collaborate with the paid social agency on campaign builds. Liaise between the broader marketing team and performance marketing asks. Coordinate the all-channel rollout across paid social, email and text. Collaborate with the paid social agency, providing assets, copy, audience inputs and approvals. Track campaign performance touchpoints (text opt-ins, sends, CTR, AOR, revenue).
PROJECT 04 · LEARNING & SUPPORT
Cross-Functional Exposure & Support
Build understanding of the broader marketing function through structured exposure, while providing hands-on support to those workstreams as capacity allows. 1:1s with key marketing team members; attendance in paid social meetings. Exposure to CRM, SMS, email workflows and AI initiatives with Vibes and Steer. Hands-on support across paid social, CRM, SMS and email workstreams. Email template organization, AI documentation/testing, and project-based asks.
