Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for developing the regional annual Marketing plans to drive profitable growth across the key market areas and segments and lead a team of ~10 commercial marketing associates (product, field, and growth) in execution of marketing plans and tactics. Specific examples include:
- Creation of annual marketing plan and supporting annual budget preparation.
- Collaboration with Segment and WW Marketing to develop Commercial Launch readiness plans
- Working with Sales to develop Sales Training plans
- Working with WW Marketing, Sales and the Segments to develop and drive demand generation activities
- Managing and executing marketing expenses to drive maximum ROI
- Downstream from product development, drive collaboration with counterparts in commercial organization to encourage rapid adoption of Waters Biosciences products and solutions and expand customer utilization of existing products and solutions through demand generation
- Evaluate marketing activities and refine plan according to relevant metrics/KPIs to ensure consistent delivery of marketing mix.
- Demonstrate leadership excellence by engaging and developing a team of highly capable associates. Empower teams to make decisions and drive innovation.
- Be a team player in the US region Leadership team: constructively challenge where appropriate and be a positive force in supporting business outcomes.
- Responsible for supporting forecasting across capital equipment and consumables
- On going market updates related to funding conditions, regional buying trends, and competitive analysis
IDEAL EXPERIENCE
- Commercial leader with experience in the cell analysis industry
- 8-10 years of leadership experience in marketing, R&D, academic research, or scientific application within the healthcare industry.
- Experience in the medical device global healthcare industry and markets are required
- Strong marketing acumen with classical marketing knowledge and successful growth marketing outcomes
- Exceptional influencing, negotiating and presentation skills
- Solid understanding of the flow cytometry and single cell markets
- Prior experience of leading large marketing organizations
- MBA and or PhD in Biological Sciences preferred
