THE OPPORTUNITY
The Marketing Cloud Lead will provide technical support for the Advancement team and play a key role in optimizing Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) operations. Specifically responsible for ensuring data accuracy and enhancing journey automation capabilities.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Support the setting up and optimizing of Marketing Cloud Journeys to support campaign goals including but not limited to implementing automation into journey builder; ensuring communications such as email and text are deployed to the appropriate audiences at specific times.

Create and manage filtered Data Extensions for targeted communications.

Work closely with Salesforce to troubleshoot issues related to data access, journey logic, and email sends. Serve as a liaison between Salesforce and the Advancement team to ensure issues are resolved accurately and in a timely fashion.

Access and manipulate variable data for personalized messaging.

Review and update SQL scripts to ensure accurate data retrieval.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand campaign requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Provide documentation and knowledge transfer as needed. Train members of the Advancement team on how to effectively use the Marketing Cloud platform.

Assume additional responsibilities as required.

WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Proven experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Email Studio.

Strong proficiency in SQL and data segmentation within SFMC.

Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a marketing automation environment.

Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.

Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of data integrity and marketing automation best practices.

Ability to pivot as needed.

Ability to embrace ideas and changes created by all community members.  

Ability to work independently to solve problems; look for opportunities to take on responsibility; take thoughtful risks; and effectively act on new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results.

Ability to anticipate and effectively handles change; demonstrate willingness to try new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions.

Must have strong computer skills including proficiency in Google Drive/Docs and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/Calendar).

HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK

This is a part-time temporary position working approximately 5 hours per week.

This position may be remote at the manager’s discretion.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS YOU MAY HAVE

Familiarity with AMPscript, SSJS, or other SFMC scripting languages a plus.

This is a non-exempt position with the following pay range: $37.00-$41.00. This position includes paid sick leave where required by law. Eligibility, accrual, and usage will follow applicable state and local regulations.
