We have an excellent opportunity for a Marketing Automation Manager who will be responsible for driving the strategic execution and optimization of Wealth Enhancement Group’s marketing automation programs using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). This role serves as the connective tissue between campaign strategy, marketing operations, and analytics, ensuring the effective orchestration of automated programs across channels. This role will create automated journeys, segment audiences, personalize content, and analyze data to optimize campaign and system performance, while ensuring compliance with marketing best practices and data privacy regulations.
Unlike the Marketing Automation Lead, who is primarily a technical executor and “power user” within Marketing Cloud, the Manager is accountable for program-level ownership, cross-functional alignment, and advancing the maturity of the marketing automation platform and best practices across the organization. (This is a 100% remote role)
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $120,000.00, exclusive of bonuses and benefits. Primary Job Functions
Program Strategy & Orchestration
Translate organizational marketing objectives into actionable automation strategies and multi-step journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).
Partner with Integrated Marketing, Advisor Marketing, and cross-functional teams to ensure campaign automation aligns with client lifecycle, segmentation, and personalization goals.
Serve as a key advisor to stakeholders, providing strategic consultation on automation capabilities, targeting logic, and campaign design.
Drive adoption of testing methodologies (test-and-learn, control groups, personalization tactics) to continuously improve performance.
Operational Excellence & Optimization
Establish and enforce best practices in campaign execution, compliance, and deliverability.
Monitor, audit, and optimize existing automation programs to maximize client engagement, lead conversion, and retention.
Partner with Product Marketing and Data teams to ensure data integrity, governance, and integration between Salesforce CRM and SFMC.
Lead initiatives that streamline processes and increase efficiency across the automation workflow.
Analytics & Performance Management
Define KPIs and measurement frameworks for automated programs.
Conduct performance reviews of campaigns, reporting insights back to leadership and stakeholders.
Translate data into actionable recommendations to refine targeting, content personalization, and sequencing strategies.
Maintain a repository of learnings, benchmarks, and testing results to guide ongoing improvements.
Thought Leadership & Enablement
Stay current on marketing automation trends, technology enhancements, and regulatory requirements.
Share expertise with the broader marketing team, enabling colleagues to leverage automation more effectively.
Partner with the Director of Program Management, Nurture and Marketing Initiatives on strategic initiatives, roadmap development and vendor evaluation.
Serve as the primary subject matter expert and escalation point for complex campaign automation issues within SFMC
Education/Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
Experience:
5–7 years of marketing automation experience, with at least 3 years direct experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administration.
Proven track record in designing and managing large-scale automation programs across multiple customer segments.
Experience translating marketing goals into technical automation requirements.
Strong understanding of Salesforce CRM data structures, segmentation, and campaign analytics.
Skills & Competencies:
Strategic thinker with ability to balance vision and execution.
Advanced analytical skills with ability to generate insights from data.
Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experienced with SQL, data integrations, reporting, and AI prompting
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

WEG hires employees and makes decisions about their salary qualifications based on factors such as the role to be performed; educational and professional experience, qualifications, skills and credentials; tenure, cost-of-living and demand for the role in the applicable market. To comply with state, pay transparency laws, we must disclose the entire salary grade. The entire salary grade for those who are classified at this level is $95,300.00 to $152,000.00. However, the base salary range bolded above is what we expect to pay as a starting range for this position.
