Marketing Assistant

16VC is a NYC/London-based venture capital firm backing bold founders building the future of enterprise software, AI, and deep tech. We invest at the pre-seed and seed stage and actively support founders through capital, studio, and community.

Role Overview
We’re looking for a proactive and execution-focused Marketing Assistant to support our events, outreach, and community-building efforts. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced startup environments and enjoys connecting with people across the ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

Events & Outreach

• Research and identify relevant startup, AI, and tech events globally

• Conduct outreach to event organizers, speakers, and partners

• Secure speaking opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations for 16VC

• Maintain a pipeline of upcoming events and opportunities

Community Building

• Support growth and engagement of founder/operator communities

• Manage communication channels (WhatsApp, Slack, Discord, email)

• Assist in organizing virtual and in-person events (meetups, roundtables, demo days)

Marketing Support

• Assist with social media (LinkedIn, X) related to events and initiatives

• Coordinate newsletters, announcements, and event promotions

• Track engagement metrics and report insights

Partnerships

• Help build relationships with accelerators, universities, and ecosystem partners

• Support outreach campaigns and follow-ups

Who You Are

• 0–2 years of experience in marketing, community, startups, or similar roles

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Comfortable with cold outreach (email, LinkedIn, Twitter/X)

• Highly organized and detail-oriented

• Self-starter who can work independently in a remote setup

Nice to Have

• Interest in venture capital, startups, AI, or deep tech

• Experience managing communities or events

• Familiarity with tools like Notion, HubSpot, Mailchimp, or similar
