Position Charter





Under the direction of the Executive Vice President, the Manager of Marketing is responsible for managing day-to day marketing and product management initiatives for Tosoh Bioscience, Inc. products and services by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. This position is classified as full-time and exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

 

Reporting Relationships

The Manager of Marketing reports to the Executive Vice President.  This position oversees a team of direct reports.





Major Duties and Responsibilities






Collaborate with others to uncover insights that support the development and execution of marketing and branding strategies for existing and new products
Support marketing goals related to market share and profitability of products & services.
Support and execute marketing plans and programs, both short and long-range, to support the profit growth and expansion of Company products & services.
Conduct research, analyze and monitor financial technological, and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effect of competitive activity may be minimized.
Coordinate the organization’s advertising and promotion activities in all forms.     
Develops the training and promotional tools that Salesforce needs to sell new products and combat competitive forces against existing customers.
In cooperation with members of leadership in Quality and Regulatory, ensures that all labelling meets regulatory requirements in the America’s.
Analyze profit / loss ratio and share of market performance in relation to pre-set standards and to general and specific trends within the industry and the economy.
Track and manage marketing activities within established budgets, ensuring cost-effective execution and recommending adjustments as needed.
Monitor market reactions to promotional programs; merchandising policy, product packaging and formulation and suggest adjustments to improve effectiveness.
Provide input on process improvement within marketing group to enhance the effective fulfillment of objectives to market needs.
Conducts marketing surveys of current and new product concepts.
Prepare and distribute marketing activity reports.
In cooperation with members of leadership in Quality and Regulatory, manages the regulatory activities of the product management group during regulatory submissions (i.e., specification
development and/or review, gap analysis of data received from Tosoh Bioscience Japan (TBJ), protocol development as needed for additional data collection, data review for accuracy, technical interface with FDA verbal and written as needed.
In cooperation with members of leadership in Quality and Regulatory, manages the compliance activities to meet FDA requirements according to 21 CFR 820 and ISO 13485 as per Tosoh procedures.






 Education





Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 10 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience





Skills and Qualifications






IVD (In Vitro Diagnostics) experience a must.
A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience. 
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Proven thorough understanding of the US market a must
Shown effective collaboration and relationship-building skills across internal and external teams.
Experience selecting, hiring, and leading teams of direct employees and external vendors.
Demonstrated detailed understanding of marketing strategies and practices.
Proven success at leading complex projects such as a website launch or product rebrand campaign while meeting budgets and timelines.
Established excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be a mentor, a team-player, an effective collaborator, and a self-motivator
