Koniag Government Services is looking for a Marketing & Communications Intern to support our MarCom team. This is a remote opportunity.

The Marketing & Communications Intern will gain experience in digital marketing, professional writing, and corporate communications. This role involves assisting in the development of marketing collateral, content and internal repositories to support business development and growth, managing social media content, and supporting internal and external communications.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation & Management: Draft and review content for social media (LinkedIn), blogs, corporate Intranet, and website updates.
  • Social Media & Digital Marketing: Update and post content and monitor engagement
  • Event Support: Assist in the planning and execution of special events, webinars, and virtual or in-person outreach activities.
  • Administrative Support: Maintain marketing supply inventory, organize digital assets, and assist with general office tasks.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with Microsoft SharePoint highly desired. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/InDesign) or CMS platforms (WordPress) is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an understanding of AP Style preferred. Proven ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Creativity: A creative eye for design, photography, or videography is highly valued.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
