About the HR & Marketing Coordinator position:

Location: Remote (with potential support for in-person events)

Schedule: Part-Time (20–25 hours/week)

Duration: 3 months

Avalon Healthcare Solutions is seeking a highly organized and proactive HR & Marketing Coordinator to support both the Marketing and Human Resources teams. This hybrid role will focus on event planning and logistics, internal and external communications, and cross-functional coordination.

The HR & Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in supporting Avalon-hosted and industry events, internal communications initiatives, and employee engagement activities. This is an ideal opportunity for someone interested in communications, event planning, marketing, and HR operations within a collaborative, fast-paced healthcare organization.

HR & Marketing Coordinator – Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Marketing Event & Campaign Support

  • Assist with the execution of Avalon and industry conferences/events
  • Coordinate event logistics, including timelines, materials, and vendor coordination
  • Work with the marketing team and cross-functional growth team on event logistics
  • Support pre-event and post-event communications (email campaigns, internal prep materials, follow-ups)
  • Assist with the development of event-related marketing assets and messaging

HR Communications & Internal Events

  • Support the HR team in executing internal communications initiatives across the organization
  • Assist HR and office manager in the execution of internal events such as; All Associate Meetings, Holiday party and employee engagement events and Big Room Planning (BRP) sessions
  • Help draft and distribute internal communications (announcements and event materials)
  • Support coordination of cross-functional communications between teams

HR Operations & Onboarding Support

  • Assist with onboarding documentation and process coordination
  • Support organization and maintenance of HR materials and resources
  • Help improve the onboarding experience through content updates and process documentation
  • Contribute to general HR initiatives and administrative support as needed

HR & Marketing Coordinator – Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current undergraduate student in Communications, Marketing, Business, Human Resources, or related field
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote environment
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Interest in event planning, communications, marketing, or HR

HR & Marketing Coordinator – Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting events, conferences, or internal programs
  • Familiarity with email marketing or digital campaign coordination
  • Experience drafting communications or marketing copy
  • Exposure to HR processes or employee engagement initiatives
  • Experience with project management or collaboration tools
