Alloy is seeking experienced, strategic Contract Healthcare Marketing Copywriters to join our freelance creative bench. We are looking for seasoned pros who can jump into active projects and deliver high-impact copy for our diverse portfolio of healthcare and hospital system clients on an as-needed basis.
This is a contract, remote position designed to support specialized client needs.
The Role
As a contract writer for Alloy, you aren’t just "filling in." You are a strategic partner responsible for:
- Strategizing: Quickly grasping client objectives and contributing to strategic messaging.
- Crafting: Developing the "big idea" and ensuring the creative hook aligns with healthcare and hospital industry nuances.
- Writing: Executing flawless copy across digital (web, email, social), advertising (videos, print, digital), and long-form (brochures, annual reports, whitepapers, scripts).
- Delivering: Providing polished, client-ready drafts that adhere to specific brand voices and strict MLR (Medical, Legal, Regulatory) guidelines.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for contractors who function as an extension of our team—reliable, sharp, and deeply familiar with the healthcare and hospital system landscape.
Qualifications:
- Sector Experience: Proven track record writing for B2C and B2B healthcare brands (Hospitals and Healthcare Systems, Specialty Care and Service Lines, HealthTech, Pharma, or MedTech).
- Strategic Breadth: Ability to pivot from high-level brand strategy to tactical, technical writing for HCP (Healthcare Provider) audiences and across various service lines and specialty care areas.
- Agency Fluency: You understand the pace of agency life and can hit the ground running with minimal hand-holding.
- Regulatory Savvy: Familiarity with the constraints of healthcare marketing and the ability to write creatively within those boundaries.
- Reliability: You meet deadlines every time and are responsive during active project windows.
Â
Engagement Details:
- Format: Project-based contract (1099).
- Cadence: Work will be assigned on an as-needed basis. Once you are on our "bench," we will reach out with project scopes, timelines, and budgets based on your availability.
- Location: Remote.
- Collaboration: You will work closely with Alloy’s Creative Directors and Account Leads via Slack, Zoom, and project management tools.
