Global Marketing Director, Amgen Brand Management

In this vital role you will be responsible for elevating the impact of marketing across Amgen globally. You will be leading the Amgen Brand Management marketing transformation.
Key areas of focus:
Amgen Marketing Talent Strategy: Lead the development and execution of initiatives aimed at curating new and current marketing talent, inclusive of Amgen Brand Management Development Program (ABMDP), evolution of the ABM Marketing Competency Model, Technical Ladder, Hiring Tools (Talent Profiles, Hiring Support), Career Pathways, Talent Recruitment/Acquisition strategy for marketing.
ABM Learning Ecosystem: Lead the development and execution of the learning ecosystem in support of Amgen Brand Management. This includes the curation and management of multi-modal training (live, self-study, external/advanced), management of the regional trainers, running of New Hire training/programming, and builders of the learning experience via Amgen Brand Management University.
The Global Marketing Director of Amgen Brand Management will partner heavily with global and local brand teams and external thought-partners. This position will report to the head of Marketing Excellence and manage a team of ~4.
Responsibilities include:
Lead the development and execution of the Amgen Brand Management learning ecosystem, including curation and management of multi-modal training, management of regional trainers and coordination of designated marketing experts
Launch & manage the New Hire Onboarding training program
Manage and build out cross channel elements of the learning experience on Amgen Brand Management University (Marketing Excellence Sharepoint & Learning Hub)
Lead the execution of the Amgen Brand Management Development Program for aspiring marketing leaders.
Lead the execution of longer term prioritized talent initiatives, such as: Technical Ladder, Hiring Tools (Talent Profiles, Hiring Support), Career Pathways, and Talent Recruitment/Acquisition strategy for marketing.
What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of marketing experience OR
Master’s degree and 7 years of marketing experience OR
Doctorate degree and 4 years of marketing experience
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in marketing
Advanced competency across the following marketing competencies: Build Brand Foundations, Make Strategic Choices, and Deliver Relevant Differentiation, Execute with Excellence
Experience leading brand strategy/planning for brands at different stages of the lifecycle
Passion for talent development and experience with adult learning principles
Ability to effectively inspire, motivate and lead high impact teams, both internal and external
Strong communication skills: the ability to effectively engage, connect, and influence various levels of the organization, from senior leadership to local marketing managers
Understanding of change management principles and experience driving change across an organization
Travel: up to 20% domestic travel to visit agencies/Amgen headquarters, potentially some international travel

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
