THE ROLE

As the SLED West Marketing Manager, you will spearhead the marketing engine for our Education sector, transforming Pure Storage’s innovative data solutions into compelling narratives for K-12 and Higher Ed institutions across the Western U.S. You will act as a strategic partner to the sales leadership team, bridging the gap between high-level brand strategy and localized execution to drive meaningful pipeline growth. This role is built for a storyteller and a strategist who thrives on connecting IT modernization with student success and institutional efficiency.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Architect Regional Go-To-Market Strategies: Design and lead integrated, multi-channel marketing plans that directly correlate to SLED West sales priorities and regional revenue targets.
  • Drive High-Impact Demand Generation: Launch tailored campaigns—from executive briefings to large-scale events like EDUCAUSE—that accelerate deal progression and increase Pure’s footprint in the education market.
  • Strengthen Partner Ecosystems: Orchestrate collaborative initiatives with channel and alliance partners to amplify our reach and deliver unified value propositions to education IT stakeholders.
  • Measure and Optimize Performance: Own the end-to-end reporting of campaign ROI and pipeline contribution, utilizing data-driven insights to refine tactics and maximize marketing spend.
  • Direct On-Site Engagement: Manage the strategic presence and logistical execution of regional IT forums and roadshows, ensuring every touchpoint delivers a world-class experience for prospective and current customers.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Public Sector Marketing Expertise: Deep understanding of the education IT landscape, including specific knowledge of procurement cycles, E-Rate, and the unique decision-making dynamics of K-20 institutions.
  • Strategic Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex, multi-faceted marketing programs simultaneously while maintaining a sharp focus on business outcomes and deadlines.
  • Collaborative Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams, align with sales leadership, and present confidently to executive stakeholders.
  • Agile Field Execution: A self-motivated approach to field marketing, with the flexibility to travel across the Western U.S. to foster regional relationships and support localized events.
  • Must be flexible and willing to travel to various locations, including international destinations if needed, to fulfill job responsibilities up to 50% of the time.
