Event Marketing Specialist
Department: Marketing
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Remote
Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 / year
Description
We’re seeking an Event Marketing Specialist to plan, execute, and measure field and event programs that build brand awareness and generate qualified pipeline. Reporting to the Sr. Field & Event Marketing Manager, you’ll manage logistics and promotion for trade shows, regional field events, virtual events (webinars), and partner activations and collaborate closely with Sales, RevOps, Demand Gen and Product Marketing. You’re detail-obsessed, customer-centric, and comfortable moving from booth logistics and vendor coordination to email campaigns, and post-event analytics. Familiarity with higher-education audiences is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute a calendar of in-person, virtual (webinars), and partner events that support pipeline and regional goals.
- Own end-to-end logistics: timelines, budgets, vendor sourcing, shipments, swag, booth/AV, on-site staffing, and travel.
- Drive pre-event promotion (email, social, sales plays, landing pages) and post-event follow-up in collaboration with Sales and Marketing Ops.
- Build event/registration pages; manage check-in/badging; ensure lead capture devices and integrations are tested and reliable.
- Partner with Sales on attendee targeting, meeting scheduling, and at-event activations (demos, roundtables, dinners) to accelerate opportunities.
- Coordinate with Product Marketing for messaging, talk tracks, and speaker/presentation readiness.
- Track and report event KPIs (registrations, show rate, MQLs/SQLs, meetings, pipeline/revenue, ROI); recommend optimizations.
- Research and evaluate sponsorships; negotiate benefits; ensure deliverables are fulfilled.
- Maintain the events calendar, briefs, run-of-show, staffing plans, and post-mortems.
- Travel for on-site execution (approx. 10–20%), including occasional evenings/weekends.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- 1–3 years in B2B field/event marketing (SaaS preferred); familiarity with higher-education audiences is a plus.
- Solid project management: build timelines, manage budgets, coordinate vendors, and hit deadlines across parallel workstreams.
- Data-driven mindset: define KPIs, build reports, and translate insights into next-event improvements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to craft compelling invites, sales enablement, and on-site scripts.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales, RevOps/Marketing Ops, Product Marketing, and external partners.
-
Bonus (not required): experience with Salesforce + Pardot, Cvent, and Zoom.
