As an Email Marketing Assistant, you’ll play a key role in delivering engaging email communications from initial concept through to build, deployment and reporting. Working closely with the wider Email Team and cross-functional partners, including trade, product marketing, creative and loyaltyyou’ll support the day-to-day running of the channel, ensuring campaigns are delivered accurately and on time. A core part of your rolwill also include:  maintaining, reporting on and optimising our automated email journeys, ensuring we are communicating effectively with our customers, wherever they are in their purchase cycle. 

Please note this is a full-time, permanent role which could either be based in Cornwall or remotely within the UK with occasional travel to our Cornwall head offices. 

You’ll help us by: 

  • Understanding and fulfilling the end-to-end process of briefing, build and deployment, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver campaigns on time.  

  • Briefing email campaigns in detail and managing delivery of creative assets and build within our email service provider (ESP). 

  • Understanding segmentation and audience building basics, setting up campaigns and scheduling deployment. 

  • Monitoring email analytics, diving into reporting and KPIs to assess campaign performance. 

  • Setting up and monitoring A/B Tests as required and keeping channel reports up to date as required. 

  • Confidently maintaining and monitoring the performance of our ‘always on’ automated email journeys, taking care to keep them updated with relevant assets and copy, flagging any complex issues to the Email Manager.  

  • Creating basic reports on weekly, monthly and quarterly automation performance to share with the wider Email team and relevant stakeholders as required. 

  • Assisting the Email Manager with building new automated flows when required. 

  • Use Google Analytics, Looker Studio and in-platform analytics to assist in the maintenance of channel reporting and creating basic reports on campaign performance.  

  • Maintain in-platform tagging of email campaigns and ensure UTMs are included in all email campaigns ahead of deployment to ensure clear and accurate reporting.

The skills you’ll be sharing with the team: 

  • A relevant degree, qualification (e.g. Business or Marketing) or relevant experience. 

  • Commercial mindset, understanding of trade requirements to hit daily, monthly, quarterly goals.  

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.  

  • A true team player, happy to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders. 

  • Proven experience using an Email Marketing platform, such aan ESP or CDP. 

  • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, segmentation and personalisation. 

  • Experience working with reporting tools and software. 

  • A good understanding of brand values and guidelines as well as tone of voice. 

  • Ability to work to own initiative as well as following guidance from senior team. 

  • Thrives in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. 

  • Flexible and adaptable. 

  • Output focused. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  

  • Excellent prioritisation skills.
