Director of Product Marketing, Financial Management Solutions

Blackbaud's Product Marketing team is at the heart of the strategy that has helped Blackbaud become the leading provider of AI-powered solutions for social impact, and we are seeking a Director of Product Marketing who can lead a team of rock star product and content marketers to even greater achievements. As a leader on our team, you’ll combine a passion for representing the voice of our unique customer base, a deep knowledge of product marketing principles, and a strong competitive streak to help your team develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies for Blackbaud’s financial management portfolio.
As part of the Product Marketing senior leadership team, you will work closely with leaders across marketing and the company, including Growth Marketing, Digital Marketing, Branding, Corporate Communications, Sales Leadership, Partner Relations, and Product Management to recommend and decide on the strategic direction of your portfolio, coordinating priorities across stakeholders, creating and managing long term goals to drive execution across the team, and enabling the continuing evolution of PMK into a world-class, AI-powered marketing engine.
As the head of product marketing for our Financial Management solutions, you will be responsible to:
Partner with product management to develop pricing and offer strategy
Become head storyteller for your solutions as you lead product launches
Develop a deep understanding of competition and buyer behavior to positively impact win rate and to effectively represent the market as a collaborator on Blackbaud’s annual and long-term strategies
Work closely with the full GTM team to develop and prioritize growth and retention plans for your solutions
Collaborate with senior leaders in growth marketing to establish strategy for lead generation and pipeline building
Ensure internal and external stakeholders are armed with value/differentiation presentations, pitch decks, call scripts, case studies, web content, white papers, and ROI tools
Analyze key metrics to understand the health of your portfolio and to inform GTM strategy and to drive alignment on priorities
Analyze team talent and engagement; recommend talent development and team building initiatives
Lead the development of PMK budgets and operating plans for programs within your portfolio of solutions
Collaborate with senior stakeholders, ensuring transparency on issues and decisions
Drive production of reporting when needed to effectively measure team metrics and optimize accordingly
Represent Marketing leadership as needed in cross-functional collaborations with Customer Success, Sales, Product Management, Data Sciences, Payments, Services, Finance, etc.
What you'll bring:
Ability to represent buyers of financial management solutions including their operational challenges, content consumption behaviors, information requirements, sentiment regarding us and the competition, voices in the industry that influence them
Strong understanding of the social impact sector and the ability to identify emerging trends in the market
Rich understanding of the SaaS customer lifecycle and how each aspect of marketing supports those who engage with and support our customers in purchase, renewal, adoption, and usage
Early adopter of AI tools to connect product marketing insights to business needs
Confidence in decision making; Ability to develop and present executive level content, including business cases for pricing, marketing resources, product investment
Strong problem solving, analytical and mental acuity
Self-starter, creative thinker, excellent listener and communicator
Ten years’ experience in product marketing, vertical marketing, or field marketing
Five years’ experiencing leading marketing teams
Experience with Gong, Klue, Asana, salesforce.com, Marketo, Peerbound
Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Expertise in the fundamentals of SaaS marketing and selling and the training and artifacts required to support customers and prospects
Proven experience in developing and executing marketing plans within and across distributed or matrixed teams
Project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment and focus on the delivery and measurement of marketing tactics that drive results

The starting base pay is $133,700.00 to $173,800.00. Blackbaud may pay more or less based on employee qualifications, market value, Company finances, and other operational considerations.Benefits Include:
