We are a collaborative, creative team leading TNTP's marketing, communications, and brand efforts. Our team is virtual, working remotely from offices across the country.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As Director, Marketing you will report to the Partner, Marketing and Communications, and work closely with staff and leaders across the team and organization. You’ll be integral to creating and executing TNTP’s marketing efforts moving audiences to action. We’re looking for people who embrace a fast-paced organization and thrive on constant learning.   

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Partner, Marketing and Communications and other MarComm team colleagues to develop a comprehensive marketing strategy that moves our target audiences through the marketing funnel to take action with TNTP.

  • Lead marketing efforts, including executing and optimizing our paid marketing. Develop SEO/SEM, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns, taking them from idea through execution, implementation, and measurement/analysis.

  • Optimize creative marketing campaigns through such activities as audience segmentation, content and design testing, personalization, and continuous learning and improvement processes. 

  • Write and edit email marketing content to highlight TNTP’s work, point of view, and impact; create, design, and test various CTAs and email designs; and segment and maintain our email marketing database. 

  • Measure and assess performance of marketing campaigns against established KPIs.

  • Monitor and evaluate online media campaigns to keep them fresh and effective. 

  • Manage marketing vendors. 

  • Lead TNTP’s transition from HubSpot to Marketing Cloud. Partner closely with the Information Technology team to ensure Salesforce Marketing Cloud is effectively leveraged to support marketing strategy, including alignment on data architecture, audience segmentation, integrations with Salesforce CRM, and scalable campaign execution.

  • Collaborate with Information Technology on the prioritization, testing, and continuous improvement of marketing automation and email capabilities, helping translate marketing needs into clear technical requirements while balancing platform stability, data quality, and long-term maintainability.

  • Consult with cross-functional teams to create brand-aligned marketing materials that support business priorities.

  • Manage team members and contribute to a strong, collaborative team culture. 

  • Contribute to other projects across the team as necessary.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five years of marketing experience, which must include digital marketing, email marketing, lead nurturing, marketing automation, and marketing analytics. Prior experience in mission-driven organizations a plus. 

  • Strong marketing copywriting skills, including the ability to adapt style to situation and the ability to create effective marketing messages. 

  • Proficiency working with key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools. Ability to analyze data to glean insights around TNTP’s market and campaign performance and turn those insights into actionable recommendations to deepen audience engagement.  

  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information effectively and strategically. 

  • Ability to project manage communications deliverables and reliably meet deadlines. 

  • Flexibility in a fast-paced environment of rapidly changing priorities while balancing details of executing marketing deliverables. 

  • At least 2 years of people management experience, with a demonstrated ability to develop junior staff. 

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with a proven ability to invest others and influence outcomes, while also fostering a collaborative team culture.   

  • High emotional intelligence and strong listening skills.  

  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Marketing Cloud preferred.  

WHAT WE OFFER

The salary range for this position is $93,760 - $140,640. New hires can typically expect a starting salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint ($93,760 - $117,200), in alignment with experience, qualifications, and our commitment to equity in compensation.  TNTP also offers a compelling overall Total Rewards package, including competitive mid-market salaries, generous PTO, and comprehensive benefits, with a range of plans and programs designed to support the physical, mental, and financial wellness of employees and their dependents.
