Nature and Scope

The Digital Marketing Specialist plays a key role in supporting the Marketing Department, which initiates and executes the company鈥檚 corporate and product-focused external communications. The ideal candidate is a highly creative, detail-oriented, and organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and has hands-on experience developing, executing and optimizing digital marketing initiatives. This includes advertising campaigns, digital media, product and corporate website management, social media and analytics reporting. Working within the commercial business unit, this role collaborates cross-functionally with a proactive, service-oriented mindset.

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development of comprehensive digital marketing strategies that align with business objectives including website content management, online visibility, brand awareness, and increasing social media presence.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the digital landscape, industry trends, and competitor activity.
  • Oversee website development, refreshes, and ongoing maintenance to ensure content, design, functionality, and user experience remain current, engaging, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Create engaging, relevant content and ideate new digital tactics to support corporate and product marketing initiatives.
  • Manage SEO/SEM efforts including keyword research, on-page optimization, and monitoring search rankings.
  • Analyze and interpret data from website analytics, social media metrics, and email campaign statistics to measure performance and optimize strategies.
  • Work with agency consultants to set up and optimizing Google Ads and other pay-per-click (PPC).
  • Develop and grow the company鈥檚 social media presence by creating engaging content and strengthening brand recognition.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams鈥攊ncluding Regulatory Affairs, Medical (ARMD), Legal and Marketing鈥攖o ensure digital assets meet compliance and brand standards.
  • Support special projects and departmental initiatives assigned.

 Education Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Marketing, Communications or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of digital marketing experience in pharmaceutical marketing required; experience with injectables or generic pharmaceuticals strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance guidelines governing pharmaceutical and medical device promotion (e.g., PMR review processes).

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SEO/SEM, email marketing platforms, social media management tools, and analytic platforms (preferably Google Analytics (GA4).
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS), customer relationship management (CRM), and marketing automation tools.
  • A basic understanding of HTML, CSS preferred.
  • Mastery of Microsoft 365.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience in the use of Veeva Vault PromoMats for content management and approval workflows.

Creative & Professional Skills: 

  • Strong copywriting and basic graphic design skills to support digital content creation.
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and professionally.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Business savvy with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented approach and the ability to adapt to fast-changing digital trends.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and integrated marketing execution.

Expected Salary Range:

$56,000-66,000

The salary range, is the  minimum and maximum annual salary range of compensation for the role that the employer in good faith believes to be accurate at the time of the posting of an advertisement for the role.  Actual compensation for the role will be based on a number of different factors including but not limited to the candidate鈥檚 qualifications, education, knowledge, skills and experience.
