PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Digital Marketing Specialist shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.

The Digital Marketing Specialist is a key member of the Digital Marketing team, helping inspire and equip disciplemakers and attracting new community members through the various digital marketing channels.

This role requires a high level of attention to detail and project management skills, a strong grasp of current digital marketing tools and strategies, and experience in creating landing pages, marketing emails, digital ads, social media posts, and marketing reports.

*REMOTE - Full-time 40 hours a week*

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Digital Marketing Production & Support (70%)

  • Web – Setup and edit blog posts, resource pages and landing pages, as well as assist with SEO, testing and optimization, web forms, URL tracking parameters, short links, performance monitoring, channel reporting, etc.
  • Email – Setup and send emails, as well as assist with testing and optimization, automated messages and journeys, target audience segmentation, subscriber acquisition and retention, performance monitoring, channel reporting, etc.
  • Digital Advertising – Setup and edit ad campaigns, as well as assist with ad campaign planning, audience targeting, performance monitoring, testing and optimization, channel reporting, advertising expense reporting, etc.
  • Instant Messaging – Setup and send instant messages, as well as assist with subscriber acquisition and retention, target audience segmentation, automation, testing and optimization, performance monitoring, channel reporting, etc.
  • Social Media – Assist with post setup, performance monitoring and channel reporting, as needed.
  • Community Engagement – Assist with Marketing inbound customer service, including inbound email messages, web form submissions, blog post comments, social media post/ad comments, and social media direct messages.

Digital Analytics, Data Analysis and Reporting (20%)

Assist with Marketing’s digital analytics, data analysis, and reporting processes and functions.

  • Marketing Metrics & Digital Analytics
    • Help set Marketing OKR metrics and digital channel KPI targets.
    • Help collect and organize digital marketing data and metrics.
    • Assist with the design of user-friendly and efficient dashboards to report progress of key metrics for marketing OKRs and health/performance of all digital channels.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting
    • Assist with data analysis and reporting of key metrics for Marketing OKRs, campaigns, digital channels, engagement/conversion pathways, and digital tests, helping assess performance and impact against predetermined objectives.
    • Identify data patterns, trends, and actionable insights, providing recommendations for future high-impact tests and optimizations based on the insights.
    • Assist with the creation and presentation of data storytelling reports that clearly illustrate key learnings, actionable insights and data forecasts, helping convert complex data/insights into understandable text, tables, graphs and/or data visualizations.

Additional Responsibilities (10%)

  • Participate in Navigators on-site learning and development events, Cultural Development and Diversity trainings or other non-Navigator developmental events as appropriate.
  • Participate in annual processes, such as the organizational Plan and Progress Review (PPR), Engagement Survey, Reaffirmation of the Navigators Code of Conduct, Calling-Core Values-Vision, Statement of Faith, Driver’s Authorization and other releases as required.
  • Submit time worked on a weekly basis through the Workday Time Tracking system.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Spiritual: Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.

Experience: This role requires strong organization and time management skills. One year of proven work experience in digital marketing. Project management experience.

Technical Knowledge & Skills: Proficient in WordPress, Email Marketing, Meta Ads, and Google systems/services (Ads, Analytics 4, Docs/Sheets/Slides, Search Console, YouTube). Preferred experience with A/B Testing, HTML/CSS, Marketing Reporting, Project Management Platforms, and SEO Tools. Strong grasp of current digital marketing tools and strategies.

Communication & Leadership: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including verbal & written, to create understanding and build strong working relationships required.

Education: HS Diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree or college coursework / equivalent experience preferred.

Compensation Range: $20.50 - $24.00 per hour
