The Opportunity
The Sales & Marketing Specialist provides sales and marketing enablement support across
Fogo Island Inn and SSEI entities. This role is responsible for CRM administration, reporting,
digital communications execution, content and presentation development, partner portals, and
operational support that enables the commercial team to perform effectively and consistently.
The Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining the systems, tools, and communications that
support sales, partnerships, and marketing initiatives. The role also supports the coordination
and tracking of external events and activations, ensuring timelines, deliverables, valuation, and
reporting is managed in collaboration with PR and Marketing leadership.
This position reports to the VP, Sales & Marketing.
What You'll Do
CRM & Data Management
- Maintain and administer Salesforce across Fogo Island Inn and SSEI entities
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data entry and reporting
- Generate regular sales, pipeline, and performance reports for leadership
- Support CRM adoption, hygiene, and process consistency across teams
Sales Enablement & Reporting
- Support the creation and maintenance of sales enablement tools, including:
- Sales decks and presentations
- Proposals and partner-facing materials
- Internal reporting dashboards
- Prepare materials to support forecasting, pacing, and strategic reviews
- Track and organize sales documentation and templates
Digital Communications & Content Support
- Coordinate and execute newsletters and digital communications
- Support email campaign deployment and performance tracking
- Maintain and update partner portals and trade-facing platforms
- Collaborate with Marketing and PR on content execution and scheduling
- Support updates to websites and digital assets, as required
External Events & Activations Support
- Support the coordination of external events and activations across SSEI entities
- Track timelines, deliverables, and required inputs across stakeholders
- Assist with valuation tracking (costs, exposure, outcomes)
- Support post-event reporting in collaboration with PR and Marketing
- Ensure event-related data and outcomes are documented in CRM and internal systems
Operational & Administrative Support
- Support sales travel logistics, tradeshows, and internal initiatives
- Track expenses, invoices, and departmental budgets
- Maintain the Sales & Marketing calendar and key milestone tracking
- Act as backup support for digital updates and platform management
- Contribute ideas and support to the organization-wide content calendar
- Perform other duties as required to support departmental and organizational objectives
Qualifications and Experience
- Post-secondary diploma or bachelor's degree (required)
- 2+ years experience in sales/marketing and/or hospitality/tourism
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Self-motivated, extremely well organized and able to manage a multitude of tasks and determine priorities while maintaining attention to detail
- Willing to take on any tasks to work alongside the team and achieve goals
- Proactive, learning mindset — ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and work to solutions in unfamiliar situations
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite
- Experience working with a CRM (Salesforce preferred)
- Experience working with a PMS (IQWare preferred)
- Must have a valid Canadian driver's license
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
