Location: It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work remotely.

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Content Marketing Specialist is a creative and results-driven marketing professional responsible for developing, writing, and managing high-quality content across multiple channels. This role crafts compelling messaging鈥攆rom short-form promotional copy to long-form storytelling鈥攖hat engages audiences, strengthens brand presence, and supports business goals. The Specialist collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to execute content strategies, optimize campaigns based on performance insights, and ensure all communications are aligned, timely, and impactful. This position is ideal for a fast-moving, strategic writer who thrives in a high-volume, dynamic marketing environment.

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Four (4) or more years of experience in content marketing, email marketing, social media, and copywriting.
  • Exceptional writing, proofreading, and editing skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to write across multiple tones including inspirational, urgent, heartfelt, playful, and professional.
  • Strong understanding of audience psychology and conversion-driven messaging.
  • Experience managing content for social platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced marketing environment.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms such as HubSpot.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Strategy and Campaign Development

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute a consistent content strategy that engages audiences and strengthens the broader brand.
  • Support integrated marketing campaigns with aligned, audience-focused messaging.

 

Copywriting and Creative Production

  • Produce high-volume content across channels, including short-form promotional copy and long-form storytelling (e.g., case studies, patient stories).
  • Develop compelling subject lines, headlines, calls to action, and messaging that drive engagement.
  • Ensure all content is personal, motivating, and aligned with the brand voice.

Email and Lifecycle Engagement

  • Create and optimize mass marketing emails tailored to audience segments.
  • Monitor email performance and refine messaging based on data insights.

PR and External Messaging

  • Draft press releases and public-facing communications to elevate the company鈥檚 mission and message.

Social Content and Audience Engagement

  • Develop, schedule, and manage social media content across LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and other platforms.
  • Support audience engagement through consistent, brand-aligned messaging.

Optimization and Performance

  • Monitor content performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Apply performance insights to recommend new approaches, creative opportunities, and messaging optimizations.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and attention to detail across all content.
  • Take ownership of content across campaigns, ensuring alignment, timeliness, and effectiveness.

Collaboration and Teamwork

  • Partner closely with designers, business development teams, brand partners, and external collaborators.
  • Contribute as a proactive, solutions-focused team player with ownership and energy.

 

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

路       Support additional marketing initiatives, pilot programs, or special projects as assigned.

路       Assist with content audits, competitive research, and brand documentation updates.

路       Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and professional development opportunities.

路       Provide backup support for other marketing functions during peak periods.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with marketing automation and content management systems.
