About the Role
Energy Exemplar is seeking an accomplished and commercially minded Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead our global marketing organization and accelerate the company’s next phase of growth. This is a high-impact executive role focused on revenue-driven marketing, global go-to-market (GTM) performance, pipeline creation, operational excellence, and product and category positioning.
As CMO, you will define the global marketing vision, elevate product visibility, and architect a highly effective demand engine that consistently fuels revenue. You will oversee a diverse global team spanning brand, digital, field, partner, ABM, events, operations, and product marketing—creating a cohesive engine that powers Energy Exemplar’s growth worldwide.

What You’ll Do
Drive Revenue Growth & GTM Acceleration
- Lead the global marketing strategy with direct accountability for pipeline creation and revenue contribution, targeting at least 25% of pipeline creation and 25% of revenue influence.
- Build and manage a sophisticated, scalable demand engine spanning digital, field, partner, content, and ABM programs.
- Partner closely with the CEO, Sales, Product, and executive leadership to design aligned, data-informed GTM strategies.
- Champion AI-driven insights and tools to optimize targeting, personalization, qualification, and campaign performance.
- Deliver global AOP commitments including faster deal cycles, improved funnel velocity, and higher conversion rates.
Own Lead Generation, Conversion & Performance Marketing
- Oversee all inbound and outbound motions, optimizing for conversion, velocity, and cost efficiency across the funnel.
- Implement modern attribution models, predictive analytics, forecasting processes, and performance frameworks.
- Lead GenAI-powered website and journey automation to surface high-intent prospects earlier and accelerate speed-to-lead.
- Maintain disciplined CAC control through efficient, targeted programs and AI-enabled qualification.
- Evolve marketing performance metrics to emphasize pipeline acceleration, cycle-time reduction, and revenue impact.
Grow Product Visibility & Market Presence
- Lead global product marketing and product launch initiatives to elevate Energy Exemplar’s brand and category leadership.
- Own messaging, positioning, category narrative, and commercialization strategies.
- Launch content programs aligned to priority use cases and segments to accelerate discovery.
- Ensure strong ROI from global events with clear pipeline and revenue attribution.
Lead, Inspire & Scale a Global Marketing Team
- Inspire and manage a diverse global marketing organization with clarity, accountability, and operational rigor.
- Build a culture of performance, creativity, and excellence.
- Scale marketing operations, tools, and processes to support global execution.
- Ensure disciplined budget stewardship and investment efficiency.
- Build strong cross-functional operating rhythms with Sales, CS, Product, Finance, and People teams.
What We’re Looking For
- 15+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience in enterprise B2B SaaS.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage complex, multi-channel demand engines, including digital, field, partner, content, and ABM.
- Proven history of delivering pipeline contribution and revenue impact through marketing-led motions.
- Expertise leveraging GenAI and advanced analytics for targeting, qualification, and operational efficiency.
- Ability to collaborate tightly with the C-suite and influence cross-functional strategy.
- Strong background in product marketing, category creation, and commercialization—not just campaign execution.
- Experience managing and developing high-performing global teams.
- Exceptional communication, leadership presence, and strategic thinking skills.
- Experience in the energy, analytics, or simulation software space is beneficial but not required.
What Success Looks Like
By the end of your first year, you will have:
- Achieved a 10% reduction in deal cycle times and improved funnel velocity across priority segments through elevated demand performance and stronger GTM alignment.
- Delivered at least 25% of total pipeline creation and 25% of revenue influence through integrated digital, field, partner, ABM, and content-led motions.
- Implemented AI-powered website and journey automation that accelerates speed-to-lead, surfaces high-intent prospects earlier, and routes qualified opportunities with greater precision.
- Improved funnel quality, predictability, and conversion rates, ensuring balanced opportunity flow across both new and existing customer motions
- Maintained strong CAC efficiency through disciplined budget stewardship, targeted program investments, and optimized channel performance.
- Strengthened global brand and product visibility, with measurable improvements in Discovery and engagement tied to priority use cases and market segments.
- Scaled a cohesive, data-driven global marketing organization, enhancing operational rigor, forecasting accuracy, and cross-functional operating rhythms with Sales, CS, Product, Finance, and People teams.
