About the Team

The Marketing Technology team is responsible for delivering best-in-class tools, data, and processes so teams at DoorDash can effectively acquire new customers, drive retention, and grow new business lines across all our audiences, including Consumers, Dashers, and Merchants. Our mission is to ensure teams can deliver personalized, engaging, and relevant content across all our owned and paid channels. We drive the Marketing Technology vision and strategy, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics teams to translate Marketing’s technology needs into measurable business outcomes. As part of this, we build the guardrails and enablement that keep communications compliant, high-quality, and scalable.

About the Role

We're looking for an Associate Manager to own campaign quality and enablement for our communications stack. As DoorDash scales—more campaigns, more locales, more personalization—the risk of human error grows with it. Your job is to build the tools and systems that let marketing teams move faster without increasing risk.

You'll product-manage our AI-assisted QA tool and automated anomaly detection, define requirements for platform guardrails, and drive adoption across marketing teams. You'll enable Lifecycle Marketing and Campaign Ops teams across all DoorDash audiences—Consumers, Dashers, and Merchants—working hand-in-hand with Product/Engineering on our notification stack, with Privacy/Legal on policy, and with Deliveroo and Wolt on global alignment.

This is the ideal role for someone who loves the intersection of marketing, data, and technology—and wants ownership over systems that directly enable others to do their best work. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Marketing Platforms within Growth Marketing.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Shape the tools that let marketing teams move faster. You'll product-manage our AI-assisted QA tool—defining requirements, prioritizing improvements, and driving adoption so teams catch issues before campaigns ship.
  • Build systems that scale. Partner with Product/Engineering to embed guardrails into platforms, so quality is automatic—not a manual checklist.
  • Enable teams through great tooling and training. Create guarded templates, living checklists, micro-trainings, and office hours that make doing the right thing the easy thing.
  • Own post-send monitoring and anomaly detection—define alerting thresholds, triage logic, and dashboards that surface issues fast.
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems in real-time—diagnosing why a campaign suppressed unexpectedly, why deliverability dropped, or why an integration isn't syncing.
  • Run our deliverability program: authentication health, IP/domain warm-up, seed testing, and ISP relationships that keep messages landing in inboxes.
  • Own list health and channel governance across email, SMS, and push—sunset policies, consent management, opt-out handling, and quiet-hour standards.
  • Translate regulatory and platform policy changes into platform controls, so marketing teams don't have to become compliance experts.

We’re excited about you because…

  • You have 5+ years in marketing technology, operations, deliverability, or marketing analytics, with hands-on experience across owned channels (email, SMS, push, in-app).
  • You lead cross-functionally and influence without authority—building trust with Engineering, Legal, Privacy, and Marketing teams to drive alignment on complex initiatives.
  • You have depth with ESP/notification platforms (Braze, Iterable, SendGrid, or similar) and understand how campaigns are built, tested, and delivered—including suppression management and QA workflows.
  • You communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences—translating regulatory requirements for engineers, platform constraints for marketers, and business context for legal teams.
  • You understand how marketing platforms integrate with internal and third-party tools, including relevant data concepts (APIs, event streams, ETLs).
  • You think creatively and devise alternatives when faced with roadblocks—finding practical workarounds when the ideal solution isn't available or timelines are tight.
  • You know email/SMS regulations (CAN-SPAM, TCPA, GDPR) and can translate policy into platform controls.
  • You have a track record of managing and delivering technical projects end-to-end—from scoping requirements to driving adoption.
  • You understand email deliverability and can diagnose inbox placement issues.
  • You're comfortable querying data to troubleshoot issues and validate segments—SQL required, experience with BI tools (Snowflake, Sigma) a plus.
  • You write clear documentation that scales enablement—making it easy for others to self-serve.

We expect this position to be filled by 3/16/26.
